Really? Most of the coaches are foreign, and the only reason Palace are in with a shout is because Hodgesom cleaned up De Boer’s mess

Allardyce, Pardew, Moyes, Pulis, Hughes, Howe all having rubbish seasons or been sacked. And none of them bar Howe even try to play decent football.

Only Dyche and Hughton have any credit this year.

There's a reason British managers rarely get the best jobs. And it's because they are all tactically naive and play percentage football based on luck.

Moyes is doing quite well at West Ham - well enough that they seem to be keeping him on. He could build a decent team there. Especially if he is as thorough as he was here.

Howe is also doing well at Bournemouth, but he seems content there. Dyche has built Burnley up and did a very good job. Hughton has done okay this season

Meanwhile a bunch of the “superior” foreign coaches have got sacked - Silva, Pelligrino, etc

Yes it is. The League should be for domestic players and coaches first and foremost, with a sprinkling of the best from overseas. Instead it is filled with mediocre overseas mercenaries who stop British talent from flowering
I respectfully disagree the league should be for best players or coaches we can get regardless of their place of birth.
Restricting it to nationality would foster mediocrity.
If British coaches or players are good enough they get their chances same as anyone else.

How does bringing local players through “foster mediocrity?” The state of the home nations teams is partly down the huge amounts of mediocre foreign players taking up all the places. Even the academies are now packed to be be gills with players from overseas.

Greatest managers: Alex Ferguson, Jock Stein, Bill Shankley, Bob Paisley, Matt Busby, Brian Clough, Howard Kendall.

English teams used to draw minute Europe with British managers and players making up the bulk of their teams

It fosters mediocrity because you end up selecting players for their place of birth as opposed to the vitally important fact of their ability to play football.
If their good enough British players will get their chance like every other nationality.

No it exposes local players to a higher standard, gives them experience and helps them raise their game. Instead they get farmed out on loan all over the place and ultimately fail to develop.
