See Ferguson being a good little boy and bigging up Gravy gob on the OS site..nauseating
Scared to say anything against anyone it seems,or he will lose what looks like his job for Life, the way he always seem to be at Everton,no matter who the boss is

I want him to go because the football for the most part has been dire. However I acknowledge the good job he has done in keeping us safe and thereby providing a platform for someone to build on without the disaster of relegation. The folks making out that that wasn't a possibility are kidding themselves. Short memories - we were in a proper mess when Sam took over. His pay off will be small beans compared to the financial implications of dropping out of the pl.
This season is a disappointment but without bfs we could have been looking at an absolute disaster. Hopefully it's goodbye and good luck Sam, and ps thanks for what you did for us.
Personally I hope the day after we sack him he's found in a bath of gravy having overdosed on an adulterated batch of Bisto Finest.

We are where we are...transition.

Our team needs rebuilding so we need stability big Sam gives us this...

Five consecutive losses would constitute a bad run of form...

But I would expect between 5 & 10 points in our five remaining games...

So, five points is enough to stay on? With games against Swansea, Newcastle, Huddersfield, Southampton and West Ham? Is that a good enough return?

Charles - long rant

Should I feel somewhat dissed by the above?
Am I on ignore?
Did you have something key to go to, and had to log off?
Is this the full depth of your intellectual responsiveness
Are you bereft of thoughts?

.... i was just getting into it.

He doesn't answer when you ask him a direct question. He either ignores it was asked, (mis)quotes Einstein or some other lid or states that you hate Allardyce and are therefore pushing some agenda (which he absolutely, categorically, is not)

I`m going to be kind to you.

He was given a golden opportunity, to get rid of the reputation he`d built up over 20 yrs, as a "limited" manager.

You`d think that with twenty years as a manager and the fact that he was allegedly one of the most up to date managers in the game, re modern coaching methods and sports science, that he`d be able to coach more than the footballing equivalent of " Up and Under ".

( I strongly suspect that the myth, that he`s a progressive manager, is a myth that he`s created himself.)

The fact that after twenty years of coaching, it`s more than apparent, that he`s incapable of delivering anything other than what we`ve seen since he`s been here - footballing aids.

He can blame who he wants, as he always does, but however you dress it up, he`s blown this one last golden chance in spectacular fashion.

If showed some humility and honesty from day one, stating that the football may not be pretty, but needs must until we were safe, more would`ve been open to giving him a chance.

He hasn`t though, it`s been all about him, what a great manager he is and that he knows best.

Fair points there...

Just think he has not been given enough time...

Realistically 5-10 points would be satisfactory obviously the more the better....

Hi Charles...

Just thought your comments on big Sam were unfair & unjustified, he has only had 4.5 months & has put us in a stable position...

This is where you and I have the problem, my friend. For me 5 points against Swansea, Newcastle, Huddersfield, Southampton and West Ham is an horrific return. If we average a point a game against opposition like that then, when you extrapolate that across a whole season, we are in real trouble. I don't want to believe some of the things that have been suggested regarding your true motives in this thread but such limited aspirations are troubling.

I'd cry.

I agree with you, but I did say 5-10 points...

We are where we are & our away form has not been good...

Our team needs rebuilding & we are in transition...

But from what to what? Allardyce will have had two thirds of a season and a transfer window by the end of May. What is his plan beyond keep it tight and beat the weakest teams in the division at home? There has to be more to our long term strategy than that. Hasn't there? The football we are playing is painful to watch. Our manager claims a match in which we have 17% possession was played in too attacking a fashion on our part, what is his vision for the future? You say give him time, I say, to you and him, give us a reason to do that.

Since when has Allardyce transitioned teams. Except turning them all into basket case hoofball sides who usually go down immediately after he is sacked.

His football isn't acceptable. The style he wants to implement is even worse.

Not sure his style is any worse than Moyes yet that was accepted for 11 years.

Anyone who says Moyes was actually wanted out of the club by the fans needs to contrast how he was viewed while employed by us and how the likes of Martinez, Koeman and Unsworth were hounded out.
