And when asked what would make for a successful first season at Goodison under his watch, Allardyce said: “I’ve already done it. It’s already been done. It was all about relegation when I got here.

“Now yes, we want to finish as high as we can, but what has been achieved is exactly what we needed to do.

“What I’m glad to say is what the players have done, is that they’ve done it far more than anybody else below us, because all those teams are struggling.

“When we had teams like Southampton and West Brom above us when I joined - look where they are and look where we are.”

That just confirms to me that he knows he's a gonner in the summer - he's clearly on a windup.

I wanted him in and there's a bit of revisionism going on but we probably weren't in as much trouble as we thought initially, given our relatively difficult start.

However the football is not only worse than I thought it would be but worse than I thought it could be.
When Sam first came I thought he was needed to stabilise the club to avoid us getting sucked into a relegation fight which we would be ill prepared to fight.
I still would not criticise the decision to bring him and I think that if supporters knew now that he would leave at the end of the season a lot of the ire against him would decrease.

I thought Sam just might buy into Everton and I thought maybe he might be able to get Evertonians to buy into him. But, I must admit that I am more than a little surprised just how badly it has gone.

Lol, this is the second time you have drooled over how much of a hard case Allardyce is. He wasn't even a hard case as a player, yet somehow as a morbidly obese pensioner he's going to be chinning lids left and right.
I assume you have an Allardyce tattoo on your posterior.
I don't think he was referring to Allyrdyce , I think it was Chris Sutton.
I don't have a tattoo, I don't like them in any circumstances.
I don't remember when I previously posted about Allyrdyce being a hard man , I think you may be thinking of somebody else.
People posting on a chat room safe behind their keyboard about what they would do or would like to do to Allyrdyce, Sutton or anybody else does not impress me... hence my response.
I would also disagree with you about Allyrdyce as a player. I would have described as a tough uncompromising centre half. I have no idea if he chinned anybody as a player or as a pensioner as that does not impress me and why I am not impressed by so much on here.

Why doesn’t any journalist question him when he spouts these lies?

Let's hope. I honestly don't know what I'll do if he's here next season. I won't be able to enjoy the world cup and then we have to make it through another 9 months with Han Solo's nemesis. If there was a service that induced comas I'd rest easy.

I already know what I`m doing next season if he`s still here - not going to a single game.

It`s not about loyalty, it`s about the fact that I detest the man, his brand of football and everything he stands for.

I suspect I won`t be alone.

I'm across the pond so it's financially prohibitive for me, thankfully. But whenever the camera pans over to his face I physically wince.

Disgusting isn't it. Makes me sick to the stomach reading his tripe. Still lying about our position when he joined too. One of them so called Journalists needs to pull him on it and give him a link to the table after the West Ham game that he had nothing to do with whatsoever - http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ndings-after-wednesdays-premier-league-scores

Everton were 13th and West Brom were 17th.

He is a disgrace and a disease to this club and the sooner he is gone the better. It will feel we have won a trophy to me when he is gone

We were 5 points above the bottom three when he took over. He's saved nothing. To suggest otherwise is just factually incorrect.

Dignity? You mean the man who routinely embarrasses Davy Klaassen in the media whenever he is asked about him? Don't make me laugh.

Spot on.

Unsworth had us in safety. Idiots panicking at he top end of the club meant he was kicked out and fat Sam was brought in to "save us". He did nothing of the sort and I've even seen him try to claim the west ham win as one of his.

He's a fraud.
We were never in genuine serious danger of relegation yet he way he talks about it we were adrift at the bottom with no players .

He's planned our ore season for next year apparently now by the way. He is here for as long as he can be and moshiri won't sack him - he considers him a good friend like Jim White. The three of them are a little boys club at the heart of Everton. Makes me sick.

Wow one of the biggest Allardyce drum bangers admitting he was wrong?!

He's looking at it from the perspective we were only six points from bottom, not that we were 13th with seven teams below us. Ignoring the latter makes it seem we were fighting for our PL lives -- and making him look like the saviour he claims to be -- when in reality we weren't (and he isn't).
