Firstly, I can't stand Sam, he is a classless twerp that isn't fit to sit in our dugout.

However, Moshiri is a businessman not an Everton fan. If we finish 8th this season, after 7th last season, why does he want to sack him? Did he want to sack Koeman last year for a one place better finish? Arguably, 7th with Lukaku is a similar achievement as 8th with this side.

I want him gone today, but I really don't think he is getting sacked, does Moshiri really want to pay 6mil out after finishing 8th and Sam "turning us round" from 13th. He'll get the start of next season IMO

From a business perspective though, regardless of who the players were, the club mad a significant investment in the playing squad last season, so you would expect the side to improve on the previous season. They haven't. I guess from the perspective you used, you could argue bfs has moved us up the table from 13th to 8th (currently but more likely be 9th), and blame previous managers for the decline. However if you look at the win ratios bfs is pretty similar to the other to. He hasn't really turned anything around, he's just had an easier fixture list.

So if you want to grow the business and improve then you're going to need a manager who is able to produce a better win ratio, more points and a higher league finish. Hence bfs should be getting sacked.

That doesn't even take in to account the toxic atmosphere he's produced at the club, the fan backlash and the absolute awful football he's producing.

He will be sacked, we have a new DOF who wouldn't come if he wasn't working with a manager of his choice. Alongside that you have Allardyce who wouldn't want any interference with his job as he thinks he's Gods gift.
I understand people are nervous and I have been but Brands coming has made me more relaxed. The nonsense he's been spouting in his press conferences is a wind up for our benefit, he knows how much he's disliked so he's just sticking two fingers up. His remit was to keep us up that's obvious and he's done that so he'll be gone soon. If not this week definately at the end of the season.

How does he pick the team?

No surprises to see he's putting the most experienced players in. But Bolasie especially has stunk the place out every week, how is he still getting picked?

Also Rooney barely looks like he can muster a jog let alone run, his legs have long gone. For a player with such an illustrious career, and the club that helped bring him to professional football, Everton really have had very little reward from him.

We could easily be giving Vlasic a run out in games vs newcastle and swansea etc. I don't think Klasseen will ever be good enough, but at least give him a run out and then we can see.

Oh I agree totally. But if figures are to be believed, season tickets are being renewed and the atmosphere last night was hardly toxic. Just my opinion, but I don't see him sacking him after improving our league position after "inheriting a mess" I pray I am wrong, I usually am like!

How representative of Everton supporters is this site ?

If you were to judge the attitude of Everton supporters to Sam from the reaction on GOT you would say that he would be lucky to get out alive never mind with a compensation cheque.

But, at Goodison, where 40,000 Evertonians gather there just does not seem to be the same hatred for him.

Is Sam right when he says there is a minority against him, but there are supporters against their manager at every club ?
Is Sam secure in his contract for the next twelve months and talk of him being forced to leave is just wishful thinking?
Will Moshiri look at an eight place finish and think that it was a "job well done" by Sam after such a chaotic season ?

Will Sam be manager in season 2018/2019. At first I thought yes, then no and now I just don't know.

The one thing I do know is that I don't want him sacked and replaced just because he is Sam. I want a replacement but I want a tried and tested manager that has been successful in one of the big leagues.

Sorry, I mean't within the club the atmosphere is toxic.

I think people are renewing based on a new manager next season, if the unthinkable happens then there'll be loads of tickets going spare next season. I know loads of lads who don't even bother going now.

Let's both pray he goes, for the good of the club.

Those who travelled to Swansea certainly made their feelings known.

I have a lot of sympathy for him if im honest, dont get me wrong we are playing turgid stuff, but what did we expect. Hes the medicine for bad decision making and recruitment. He is only acting in his remit and is fulfilling the job he is asked to do. When you select a manager you know what philosophy you are buying into and we knew what we were getting into when we recruited him, no complaints really.

I think hes a goner, i think he knows it, but some of the criticism he gets on here is way beyond what is fair, perosnally when it happens that he is sacked part of me will be dssapointed about Evertons approach to this, i dont like it.

We are turgid now, but it is better being turgid winning 1-0 with a shot on goal then being turgid and getting tumped by Arsenal, Watford and Southampton every week.

One home win against a Championship Newcastle side doesn't change the whole bigger picture at the club. We all knew as soon as he won his next game he was going to be smirking in his post-match interviews.

If he's going then it's already in motion. If he's staying then he was never going to be going in the first place. One win does not erase the months that came before it.

I went for the 1st time this season and was shocked how flat the atmosphere was, spoke to a few people, all but 1 wanted him gone. The one that didn’t want him gone was an older fella who just goes the match and not bothered about anything else, just kept saying Koeman would take us down and teams in the 70s where worse then this 1.

Around me there where quite a few empty seats, so they are the more Allardyce out lot who just arnt turning up.

I’m not the type of person to stand up and shout, I don’t really sing either, I just watch the game and man it was boring, I was shocked when I looked at the clock an it was 85 minutes, felt like 50 mins, if I had internet’s of been on here instead of watching the game.

Finally anyone who pays over £500 to watch that, I feel sorry for them

He hasn't really turned anything around, he's just had an easier fixture list.

I've seen this mentioned a few times, and I have seen no evidence to suggest it's true. There are 7 sides better than us currently:

Koeman/Unsworth faced: City (A), Chelsea (A), Spurs (H), United (A), Burnley (H), Arsenal (H). That is 6 games - 3 home fixtures and 3 away.
Allardyce has faced: Liverpool (A), Chelsea (H), United (H), Spurs (A), Arsenal (A), Burnley (A), City (H), Liverpool (H). 8 games - 4 home, 4 away.

How has he had an 'easier' fixture list?

Be different if had some decorum and class about him..then maybe the insults and comments would be less severe...Self preservation and ego is him....listening to his summary of the game on the way home from the match...totally deluded....
How anyone can defend him and feel sorry for him is incredible. Try going the match and having to suffer this utter pony...one game left and because its a 530pm kick off allows us to get a few beers in to dumb the banality of his football ..
