Glad we did. Said at the time, he will prove some folk wrong relating to the popular opinion about him. He knows what he is doing, instead of being wedded to some idealistic nonsense.

For the first time in ages, that side looked drilled, organised, and together.
We had every right to panic. We were in serious bother.

He seems to be getting more out of this team than Koeman did, that's for sure.

100% this.

Fair to say though that 'idealistic' managers have gone there and come away with a dour point.

He did well today, and I think he's got right under their skin straight away a la Big Joe in the 90s. But we'll have to tweak that strategy for the cup game.

Hopefully a striker is ready to just sign, get a medical and come in and hit the ground running by January 6th or whenever the cup game is.

Yep. Wasnt having a dig at anyone else, more saying that he seems competent and practical. If some new names come in/injured return, I am sure he will show another side to his character.

Put it this way, I do not expect he will set up and instruct the side at every away game like he did today.

The Joe Royle comparison is one I’ve made when discussing BFS. It’s not going to be pretty but it will be effective. Hopefully there’ll be parallels with that 95 Cup run...?!
