Look, I don’t particularly like the man, and he’s definitely NOT the man to take this club forward. So for me there’s no point delaying the inevitable for 12 months, that’s just a wasted year.

BUT, Having just read that I do actually feel a bit sorry for him. He’s come across as having a little humility for a change and he’s credited the players more than himself, again for a change.

That's what he's aiming for. He's fooled you

Too little too late for me.
He also inadvertently nails the problem for me when he whines “I couldn’t have done more”
Exactly Sam you can’t do more, so kindly go forth and multiply while we bring in someone who can do more.

This is the weirdest feeling I have ever had over football.

Two wins in a week.....and I am feeling empty inside.

I have felt better after a loss in the derby FFS :(

And all because this past few days and those results confirm my belief we are going to be lumbered with this fellow next season.

And possibly beyond.

A whole summer spent dreading the arrival of the new season......how did it ever get to this.

I am afraid my ST will be on StubHub very often next season.

Thank you, Moshiri.
I agree mate. I'm looking at the bigger picture and what happens if he stays another season.

Unlike you I'm not convinced a decision has been made yet. It still could go one way or another for me. It's still very worrying though.

At least today, the football sounds like it was a bit better in the second half, but you have to take account of the poor quality of the opposition today.

Brought in 2 players, one set the first goal up the other scored it,

I can see Moshiri letting him stay and generate his own summer kitty selling some of the crud we currently have.

he'll also save 9m by not sacking him and his backroom staff.

Today was better, slightly better. Pickford was untroubled.

Let’s be fair however, that was Huddersfield.

We are miles off Arsenal, let alone the top five - it needs a long term appointment who can clear the decks & build a team.

Sam has done his job, should be thanked for doing so & let go with his reputation of being a fire fighter & ship steadier still in tact.

Moshiri should announce his departure this week so the fans at the Southampton game can give him a generous & dare I say it, decent send off.

Thank you BFS but it’s goodbye I’m afraid.

No it's just an educated guess...

Big Sam has done enough to secure he finishes his contract...

Respect your opinions though, we all want Everton to be successful after all...
He probably has, but he will have to come out with a bit more of an attacking approach next season if he does stay. One thing he would do is get the players fit, his teams are always some of the fittest in the league and we need that, too many of our players burnout far too quickly. He does have a good record in the transfer market, but he is going to really have to wave that magic gravy wand a few times given the fact we need to clear a load out and bring in 3/4 really decent additions, some of the names linked up till now better just be press speculation because they don't sound like the answer to me. If he stays and goes wrong the board are going to look very stupid however if they need to change a manager again, i think we all just need to wait and see what happens over the next few weeks. We don't want, but we might be stuck with him, if so then so be it there is not much can be done, just hope he gets rid of some of the dross and try to get behind the team.

That is I what I think is more likely. But you never know.

What I mean is even though we are generally gash, we usually at least pick up some points against them, especially at home, even sneak a win or 2 but we haven't even given it a go at all this year.

You only have to look at our record against Liverpool to know how much we fear and succumb the big teams in the league. It's truly shocking and nothing new - been a problem for as long as I can remember.

I suppose if you're happy with just the results then obviously Sam being here next year isn't a problem. If you're bothered about how those results are obtained, which I suspect, is the major point in the out argument, then Sam starting next season is a problem. It seems people at the game are fed up of being bored and they've every right to be.
