I can't even enjoy victories under Allardyce, this forum would be buzzing after victories under previous managers, we don't enjoy them because it's clear we play crap football with occasional good play from the likes of Walcott and top slotting from Cenk.

Name one area of play that has improved under Allardyce?, you can't.

Is this a pro BS post or not ?

This is the weirdest feeling I have ever had over football.

Two wins in a week.....and I am feeling empty inside.

I have felt better after a loss in the derby FFS :(

And all because this past few days and those results confirm my belief we are going to be lumbered with this fellow next season.

And possibly beyond.

A whole summer spent dreading the arrival of the new season......how did it ever get to this.

I am afraid my ST will be on StubHub very often next season.

Thank you, Moshiri.
Totally agree with every word

I’m not an Allardyce fan but just think we need to be very careful what we wish for.

The fact is we will likely finish 8th if not even 7th and that’s pretty damn impressive with the absolute dire season and run we had under Koeman and Unsy.

His signings have both been shrewd and he is still left with a ton of deadwood form the previous clowns in charge.

I see no reason why we should ax him unless we can get a top, proven name in. Silva and Fonseca are both massive gambles. The stick he’s getting is just a bit OTT in my opinion. If he wasn’t who he is then eh would be getting anywhere near the stick he is.

It's not just his style of play, he's despised and represents failure of the entire club really.

Be careful about what?

We've treaded water for 25 years. I don't understand your statement.

There's nothing to worry about. He wont be staying......

* He only got an 18 month contract as the board caved in when he wouldn't accept initial 6 month offer.
* They are not going to give him 100 - 150 million or so to spend if he is only going to be here 12 months.
* It's only his bluster about clarity we have heard so far, no backing from the Mosh.
* He is dividing the fan base and causing unrest with his comments.
* His style of play, if you can call it a style, is boring and unadventurous.
* He will be 64 in October. Does he have the fitness and stamina to succeed.
* Is he enhancing the stature of the club with the media?
* He's a turd.

The board will get rid at seasons end for a negotiated payoff. Mark my words.

Sleep well, don't have nightmares.....

Koemans run was only dire because of Europe which sam didn’t have to deal with. The 6 of the top 7 teams he played, he got one point. Allardyce has the exact same total from those same teams. Koeman had 7 points from 9 from teams who are currently below us. Unsy won 2, drew 1 and lost 2. Hardly a dire run in comparison to Sam.

Cant finish 7th btw.

I think that's right. Moshiri needs to understand that Allardyce is just about tolerated because the season he joined us was already dead. To waste another season by retaining him will bring matters to a head.

I said already that the protests shouldn't be against Allardyce. He did what he does. no use protesting that. If protests are in the offing then they have to be against Moshiri's silence on the matter going into the post season which gives no clarity. That's just not on. A public statement should be forced from him or the board who do his bidding.
Agreed. It has been amazing during this continuing period of dissent and turmoil how the members of our board have vanished into the woodwork.
The 'clarification ' interview tops the lot . They have a word with the manager yet don't have the courtesy to tell him whether he will be manager next season. Then leave him to handle his own PR. It's bordering on negligence.
My cynical nature however suggests they have told Allardyce he will be manager next season but have told him to keep schtum till after the last game to avoid any unpleasant opprobrium towards themselves. They probably hope that by next season we'll have forgotten we have a mediocre manager who delivers mediocre football.

We won 2-0 today and I didn’t enjoy it. We beat Newcastle 1-0 last time and I didn’t enjoy it. We’ve won two on the spin and yet I feel deflated. Absolutely bizarre feeling this way about the club I love.

Unfortunately, this will not change until at the very least this tedious bell leaves. Bonus points for Kenwright, Walsh, Lee, Shakespeare and half the players leaving in the summer too.

It's very difficult to read mate. Could very easily be the above, and they have told him he needs to button it and stop antagonising fans as by doing so he essentially makes his own position untenable. The bit I find hard about that, is the guy's too thick and arrogant to go along with it. He believes his hype.

Alternatively it could be they've told him he will be gone come the end of the season, and as part of the compensation package due, Allardyce cannot afford tell anyone, so he won't risk his 6 million.

It could be anything you like.
