Today's post match Radio Merseyside phone in was split with fans and critics of SA. Even Ronnie Goodlass (who wants him out) got stick off one caller who accused him of stabbing the last two managers in the back.

It really is going to get nasty.

This would be the big factor for me if I were Moshiri. There will be no unity going into next season if he stays. It will also be hard for Allardyce to match his fairly modest return (which would see us finish 7/8th again, so a repeat of this season) as people will be onto him quickly.

Fans are quite passive now, largely due to the nature of Evertonians, but also because many think he will be gone, many think we are getting a top coach in, and that we have ended the season well and we have little to play for.

I see how quickly it unravelled for Koeman, who achieved far more than Allardyce in his first season (and i'm not Koeman's biggest fan) and within 2 months it was toxic for him.

We keep Allardyce and we write next season off as well. It would be really foolish.

Yep listened to that too .

Thought it was depressing how many blues thought he was doing a decent job and should be kept on.

Mind you they all sounded like arl fellas and I'm 58!

Not quite there myself but close.

Sadly we have become a completely mediocre team and club.

Apart from Seamus Coleman we have zero passion for the past 23 years.

I was at the Bayern match .......that passion has never been revisited.

That doesn't prove anything apart from we haven't picked up many points besides that it's massively out of date.

So far allerdyce has manages 22 games in the premier league wining 9 , drawing 6 and losing 7. Which would mean allerdyce ppg is 1.5. Which is better then koemans 1.48 and by the end of the season will probably be better then Martinez 1.56.

Regardless ppg stats mean nothing about defence the fact of the matter is allerdyce has had 7 clean sheets in the premier league. With us only conceding more then one goal in 6 games out of 22. Compare that to under unswoth where we conceded 20 goals in 8 games and only had 1 clean sheet.

He has improved the defence there is no denying that. How ever much we all want him out.
Do you want Everton to have stats like this mate?, think about our philosophy being the School of Science?, we demand entertaining attacking football at this club, that is our history, that's what we are, and currently this season with the 6th best squad in the league, Allardyce has us 19th for the key stats that reflect our attacking style of play.

These stats were on Sky 2 weeks ago when the infamous club survey was sent out to the fans asking for their opinion on how the manager and coaching staff are doing.

Why is none of the media getting their facts straight, we were 13th, facts are we play absolute crap football, we are where we are because we have the 6th best squad in the league, he's underachieving because of his negative tactics, like getting a point from two games against West Brom for a start.
6th best squad in the league? Not at all. All the current top six have a better defence, midfield and strikers Hahahaha

I agree with you and want him out as much as anyone I don't want to be going the ground every week to watch that crap football. But those the facts, you can't change that no matter what we want

Our squad is neck and neck with Arsenal, we've just had Koeman, Unsworth and Allardyce.

A decent manager like Silva could have come in and got us playing much better football and going toe to toe with Arsenal for the slot they are in.

The facts are we play crap football and he's improved our play 0%.

We can't enjoy victory's when we all know our play is about as bad as it's been in the last 10 years.

I think that's right. Moshiri needs to understand that Allardyce is just about tolerated because the season he joined us was already dead. To waste another season by retaining him will bring matters to a head.

I said already that the protests shouldn't be against Allardyce. He did what he does. no use protesting that. If protests are in the offing then they have to be against Moshiri's silence on the matter going into the post season which gives no clarity. That's just not on. A public statement should be forced from him or the board who do his bidding.

He's averaging 1.5 ppg, which over a season would be 57 points.

In the last 15 years, we have exceeded that points total on 9 of those 15 seasons, the only ones we didn't - where 03/04 - when we had 39 pts, 05/06 when we struggled badly after the CL qualifier went tits up, 10/11 and 11/12 and Martinez last 2 years which saw him sacked.

I totally know this, recent form is better though, this is what he will be working off.

I’m not an Allardyce fan but just think we need to be very careful what we wish for.

The fact is we will likely finish 8th if not even 7th and that’s pretty damn impressive with the absolute dire season and run we had under Koeman and Unsy.

His signings have both been shrewd and he is still left with a ton of deadwood form the previous clowns in charge.

I see no reason why we should ax him unless we can get a top, proven name in. Silva and Fonseca are both massive gambles. The stick he’s getting is just a bit OTT in my opinion. If he wasn’t who he is then eh would be getting anywhere near the stick he is.
