I can't honestly see him being sacked after an eighth place finish .

And that's our problem right there. Not good enough. It's like boiling a frog. Increments. Before you know it, 9th, 10th is acceptable and so on.

If you are serious about competing even 2nd is nowhere. That messages has to be hammered throughout the club and the supporter base too. You win. Period. Everything else is irrelevant.

Once you get on the gravy train of accepting mediocrity, there is only one way. That's down. And there's a plethora of ex-Kopite talking heads that will gleefully cheer that narrative on.

We set our own agenda and expectations as supporters, brand everyone at the club to the furness of our motto. That's how you win. Ingrain it into their DNA. Acceptable losses? There's no such thing. Nothing is acceptable about a defeat, you surrendering jockey monkey Moshiri. Show some feckin pride.

Hopefully he'll grow a pair and the juries out on that. We'll see, tell you one thing though, he ain't gonna get the easy ride that Kernwright enjoyed.

Absolutely.....100%

Great post mate, been saying it for ages why the f@@k should we accept just being also-rans in the league.I think some supporters don't realise who we are. WELL WERE EVERTON FC been around since 1878,founders members of the football league, played the most top flight games in history, had some of the greatest players ever to wear the Royal Blue and play at the Grand Old Lady,Dixie still holds the record for 60 in a season which will NEVER be beaten, the School Of Science, two of the Greatest Managers Ever who are never mentioned as of a great in Catterick and Kendall(Ive often asked people why this is and no one can give me an answer!!!!!!)why the f@@k should we accept mediocrity (n)

I agree. We have been in this predicament unfortunately for 3 decades. Our concern is breaking out.

Once you get on the gravy train of accepting mediocrity, there is only one way. That's down.

And here is my concern with Moshiri. He talked about "Hollywood Managers, small window of opportunity to break into the elite, not wanting to be a museum".

He sits here with Allardyce, Lee, Shakespeare and Walsh. Two years after he arrived.

Who is the real problem at the club I ask?

No it's just an educated guess...

Big Sam has done enough to secure he finishes his contract...

Respect your opinions though, we all want Everton to be successful after all...
Then why would we want Sam? He won an Irish L2 title and nothing else at all in his career. Stop being a WUM mate

Brought in 2 players, one set the first goal up the other scored it,

I can see Moshiri letting him stay and generate his own summer kitty selling some of the crud we currently have.

he'll also save 9m by not sacking him and his backroom staff.
Yes bye bye Vlasic, Lookman DCL and welcome Wiltshire, Smalling Jones Shaw and Danny Wellbeck

Hmmm.

I dunno yano.

I would take a 90 year old Cech above Tetleyhands yano, based on the here and now.
Kosisisisisisisicenky and Mustafi are miles better than any CB we have.
And they have 2 very good full backs in Bellerin and Kosososososibianixc.

I would prolly take their back 5 over ours yano.
You'd take Cech over Pickford?, put the spesh brew down lad and get to bed.

It's plain to see how our defence has improved since Coleman and Baines have been back, the stats back that up.

Given the fan unrest and the fact that he's on an obviously short leash as regards his contract, he's done remarkably well in getting the team to produce the level of results they have. You'd think many of them would have downed tools under the circumstances, but they're still playing for him.
If he stays, he be gone before seasons end, after Christmas the players will down tools and say ur not my manager soon so I don’t care. I have no idea why you would want him, he failed his remit BTW, his remit was 7th, as you find out soon enough. The footballs terrible and his career shows he a bad buyer of players

I think he’ll stay, massive boardroom upheaval this close season, new manager next close season. Our issues aren’t going to be sorted in one close season

After 35 mins I went down to the gents. Couldn't believe how many fans were down in the concourse. Drinking, chatting etc etc. Now, I know this is not unusual but I was surprised by how many were down there. No tv's there, so simply not watching the game. Not something I do but I get why. The football is absolutely dire. Huddersfield were shockingly bad.
We put about two decent moves together. Otherwise it was hoofball.
He's got us up the table. Done the job required this season. He's not the long term answer for me. Would never get us higher than 7th. Is that what we're satisfied with? 7th or 8th year in year out? I don't think so.
One final thing. The quality of our players leaves us a long way short of the top 6. That has to be addressed also.
Its a long way back, but the journey has to start (again) somewhere.
