Out, stay out and dont come back.

Apparently, 7 people actually want to watch dire negative football all next season, are happy to have a season target of 40 points for safety and be lied to, insulted and manipulated before and after every game.

The world gets madder every day. :hayee:

It is indeed a mad world. Prior to the West Ham game we let in 27 goals in 9 games. Even the Saints scored 4 against us. We were in a relegation fight and fans were s****ing themselves. Sam has brought stability to the defence, coaxed a few half-decent performances from players who fans had written off, and taken us to 8th in the league. Yes there's no doubt we could do better with a change of boss, but we could also do a lot worse, and most other PL clubs who changed manager mid-season did do a lot worse than us, so be careful what you wish for. It's a mad world where a manager who delivers results that exceed expectations gets reviled by fans indignant that he hasn't been sacked, and not content with this you're now treating fans who aren't convinced that he should be sacked as though they're idiots.

The issue for me is that we were 'safe' ages ago and he hasn't and will not change the side, the tempo, the plan. He has 1 default mode and that'll never change.

The last few wins we've been extremely lucky. When was the last time a PL team has on average like 1 shot on target and manages to win games.

I understand the frustration with the lack of shots and entertainment but it's unfair to label his wins as lucky unless you're also going to do the same for the rest of the season under the other managers too.

Those who praised Unsworth often say Allardyce's wins are lucky but fail to mention how lucky Unsworth's Watford win was. We were horrendous until Niasse got one back in that game, and relied on an injury time penalty winner, and them missing one in the 11th minute of time added on.

Koeman was very fortunate with the Bournemouth win too.

Getting the 3 points is the most important thing and Allardyce on the whole has done it. The performances and his attitude going in to certain games is clearly the problem though and is the reason he needs to go.

Mate the standard of the league this season has been shocking. That is really the only reason why we are sitting in this position.

You make some good points and you are entitled to your view and yes he steadied the ship and turned us around, even if it's been brutal to watch mostly. Although remember we did spend 250m+ on this squad for all its problems we have better individuals than most of the bottom eleven and shouldn't have been in trouble.

But a few things, went in his favour Unsworth found our best team against West ham it was our best performance of the season. Sam was able to ride that for a run of games unbeaten, where yes he got us more solid by virtually parking the bus. As we got safe he has failed to let the handbrake off and show more going forward or to plan for the future. When we played Burnley we still could have got seventh place actually but we fell away because of his lack of style of play.

We have played against some absolute dross lately, teams that are either down, not playing for anything or aren't arsed. Any big game we have been roundly beaten or failed as against Liverpool reserves at home.

Lastly the squad yes it wasn't his in that context he put it together to make us more solid at times, Cenk and Theo were good additions although who brought them in, we don't know. But his negativity and chronic lack of ambition, playing for draws away to West Bromwich and Swansea and giving up against any decent team hasn't helped. As has his use of the squad to its full in my view, his inability to give time to the likes of Vlasic, Lookman, Klassen shows he doesn't care about building for the future. When he brings in more direct and physical players into the squad to fit his style will that help us moving forward? Why keep him for twelve months it's just a pause in our rebuild? Stability is one thing but I don't see him being a long term manager.

Finally the way he disrespects us and the club and talks down our expectations to protect himself. I hate that. So he's brought some of the indignation on himself, so whilst I recognise there are much deeper problems at this club and yes he's done a half decent job results wise, I don't think he's the answer moving forward keeping him would be admitting decline and mediocrity, rather than at least building for better with a style of play that fans will enjoy.

Everton is a business and the fans are paying customers , what do you think people should do if they’re satisfied or not satisfied ? Can we go to watchdog about it ?
Can we try and move the club forwards ?
Do we carry on letting the board take the mick outta us fans ?

The club have brought it on themselves now , I want to go to the game pay the ticket and watch football, not watch blokes who carnt give no effort some games or even pass a ball properly , when they’re on 100,000 grand a week , some of us don’t even make that in years ! Sorry people rant over !

Ahh the old be careful what you wish for chestnut.

Got to love the irony of someone saying be careful what you wish for whilst wanting Allardyce to stay and saying this "Yes there's no doubt we could do better with a change of boss"

Like i said, the world gets madder every day.

The fact Burnley are 7th tells you everything. Even Arsenal and to some extent Chelsea have been terrible. Being 8th isn’t something to shout out with the rubbish in the league this season.

Exactly. That lap of appreciation and the Dixie’s Blue Carpet should be like the tunnel of death in school.
