Then there’s no point in you continuing to support Everton Football club of thsts your opinion
NSNO and all that.
I said at the start of the season that IF the transfer policy worked ( which it hasn’t ) that either Arsenal or Spurs would have a bad season.
Arsenal because they are Arsenal and Wenger was on borrowed time , Spurs because of Wembley and they struggled there for the first few months.
I didn’t foresee Chelsea having a poor season by their standards but top 6 was attainable this season and with a few astute signings and a brave manager it is possible next season as well

The top 5 clubs have all taken more points than us since BFS arrived. So we are further behind them than ever. You think top six was attainable this season - but we have failed to beat any of the top six teams this season. Since BFS arrived, we have gained six points on Burnley and four points on Arsenal, though we we still lost to them both.

With BFS's cautious tactics against the top teams, what makes you think that he would do any better against the top six next season? Burnley will have the extra burden of playing in Europe on Thursday nights next season. This is going to put extra demands on their small squad and limited resources. Sam's ambition for next season could be to beat Burnley.

If you read my post I said top six is attainable next season with a few astute signings and a brave manager , that automatically rules FSA out
I want him gone and have since day one.
Emery , Simeone are my 2 unrealistic ambitions but I’ll accept Fonseca even though I know little about him except what I’ve read on here

We’ve been absolutely gash my entire Everton-supporting life so another season makes no difference to me. That’s the problem when you’re born in the 90’s, Freddie.
Thats sad Nymz.

I'm almost 60 and still start each year with hope.

I was proved right about Allardyce in most things but I take absolutely no credit or joy from that because our club is in a mess and I miss going the game. I'd much rather had been wrong about him.

Genuinely disappointed in some of our fans.
Look, none of us really want Sam Allardyce managing our club. There's no dressing that up. And you could argue as well that other managers could have turned out situation around.

But he was given a specific job to do and he's done that job. No, it's not been pretty. But when we've tried to play expansive, "front foot" football (as Unsworth described it) we've been absolutely webbed by crap teams.

Booing managers should be reserved for when they're doing a terrible job and endangering the club. Allardyce has stabilised us, made two very good signings, and got us into the top half. That's not a sackable or booable offence.

I hope he's gone next season. I do. But he's a million miles from being someone we should be angry at.
The football we were playing at the start of the season was horrendous too, remember.

Can we all just finish this situation off in a dignified manner? A simple, "thanks for trying Sam, you're not for us for the long term, but cheers" would be fine.

I agree with the last paragraph

nail on the head

proper bored of reading the word gravy too tbh

Rooney and Bolasie aside., all players are playing better than the previous 12 months. The rot had firmly set in under Martinez and again under koeman, te players are now all playing with confidence and, bizarrely publicly backing Sam. I am not a Sam fan but, we need to acknowledge his positive impact on the team.

I'd say Martinez and Koeman both turned in more good performances than BFS has.

I'd also say that his chance of making any further progress is minimal.
