We had 6 first team players out against an almost full strength Liverpool squad. They were massive favourites and choked.

They did, but lets take nothing away from Sam, his staff and the players who kept going all game on the main, it wasnt pretty but most of us were expecting a cricket score so to come away with a point is tip top in my eyes.

We even made Plopps head blow, all in all if you could have wrote the perfect day, the only thing missing was a last minute Rooney winner, at the kop end, but hey ho, after the way this season has gone I will take the point and the Germans head all day long.

Let’s be honest, we were truly awful in possession today. Our attacking threat was none existent.

Improvement is required on Weds.

Yes we defended well and ( Cuco aside) worked very hard.

It wasn't our first 11 either.

Ffs Matty, what would you have Sam set the team up like, more attacking? Because we'd be sat here talking about a 4-0 defeat if he did.

As I said earlier, we started the game with 2 up top, its not like he parked the bus from the start, the game dictated that we put the 2 banks of 4 across, we couldnt keep hold of the ball for any of the game, as I said above, none of it was pretty, but not quite sure I give a flick at this point in time.

Can’t wait for his first signing.

The way he talks about it being important to set the right tone I think it’s going to be a good one.

It just baffled me how slow we looked on the ball in comparison to them. There was no need for us to be that bad with the ball but the tactics were right, just the performance from the players that was lacking.

Really wouldn't surprise me to see something very similar against Newcastle but hopefully with us having a bit of threat on the counter attack.

We could end up getting Rafael sacked on Wednesday.

Its starting to feel a lot like Christmas!
