I used to enjoy reading his posts regarding the business side of things, knew his stuff like. But he want balls deep in Moshiris first full summer and blew his reputation to bits
Yeah, I really enjoyed reading his stuff and miss him posting on here. Obviously he’s a very intelligent man, but the ITK stuff went too far. I think the end game was to build up his following on Twitter.

More than likely he was hearing snippets and passing that info off in good faith, but that first summer was a disaster. I would have just kept anything I got to myself after that.

I hope he comes back here one day.

Have you looked mate? Sounds like you dont rate his transfers?

Age profile is a major concern. As is his style of midfielder and striker.

He signs Big Sam players for his usual system. I can't knock his logic but I find it archaic and small time. There's no evolution. Just more of the same. Sign veteran physical players and get to 40 points.

Does anyone else think he has a very good eye for a player looking through his transfer history he has signed some real unknown gems in specific contexts that have made huge contributions as well as assessing squad and finding players to add to the quality of it. To be honest ihadnt gone through his transfer history before but i think its quite good, i was surprised.
Yet posters still harp on about the state he's left previous clubs in even though it's not supported by facts.Sets up to play dire percentage football...true.Wastes fortunes in the transfer market? No.
Just take a look at the lemons he left Palace with and how they played last week keeping Palace up.

There are facts. 3 of them have gone down within 2 years. 2 of them to the third tier. Those are the facts. His signings largely the issue. Old players on mega wages. Clubs can't get rid and squad rots.

I think the fact that his average transfer business gets over hyped is just another example of how poor a job he’s done in other areas.

I don’t think his transfer business is great, the input of Walcott and Tosun is the minimum I’d expect of players who cost £50 million.

I am sure Walcott will be a decent signing if used correctly by an attack minded manager but since he arrived, apart from his first game, he hasn’t done much.

Tosun looks decent but I don’t think he’d start for any side above us and unless he turns out to be a tremendous goal scorer like Kane or Giroud, I think he may be too slow to take us we’re we want to be in this league.

Everything in context though hes been at clubs with limited budgets and has had to pad out a squad, despite that and very recently he has signed some excellent unknown players. I was quite surprised reading through some of the players he has signed, especially those from abroad who have gone on to turn into top players or become key players for clubs at very low prices.

Luka Milivojevic for example who he signed at Palace has been one of the best and most productive midfielders in the league this year, but there are numerous examples. Even what he has done here so far has massively improved the squad in terms of quality and actually exactly the type and quality of position that was required at those clubs at the time, which shows his ability to assess a squad. and identify the areas, fit and quality of player required.
