Seen it mentioned numerous places. Moshiri and Walsh watched him play CL in September, I know that much.
You know what the media tells you. They could have been at the game watching other targets from the other side.I read somewhere Allardyce had Tosun scouted when he was at Palace. Was it true? Who knows?

But it's where we where when he signed.I'd love a young progressive manager with a CV of winning in a strong league. Can you help me find one?

The old ‘it’s Allardyce or fantasy manager who doesn’t exist argument’. All you have to ask is are there better managers than Allardyce who may be available and may want to join Everton?’. The answer is yes, plenty, we just didn’t have the correct plan to get one when we panicked after sacking Koeman. 6 Mill per year and prem exposure are big draws.

Does anyone else think he has a very good eye for a player looking through his transfer history he has signed some real unknown gems in specific contexts that have made huge contributions as well as assessing squad and finding players to add to the quality of it. To be honest ihadnt gone through his transfer history before but i think its quite good, i was surprised.

The odd good player here and there I'll give you that, but to be honest at most premier league clubs the manager isn't the one who picks out players anymore. I don't think he scouted Tosun for example, I don't think he was even very sure about him.

I heard he was a Sam signing too.

Palace nearly signed him last summer. After Sam left there but it could’ve been someone he’d recommemded. Also:

“Sam contacted me beforehand, told me he watched my matches and wanted to see me in his team,” Tosun added.

“He told me he wanted me because he thought I would be useful to Everton.”

I’m very dispondent at some of the support for Sam on this forum

But then I listen to talkSPORT and there’s kopites saying Salah is the best PL league player ever and Emre Can is world class

So I support every club has “them” supporters
Not hating and insulting him doesn't mean you by default want him here next season.

Stability...

Solidity,steadiness,security,sturdiness,stoutness,soundness,reliability,dependability...

What is your idea of stability...?

Being in Europe, challenging for trophies, playing sustainable atracking football, showing constant improvement, using money wisely, not appointing dinosaurs.

I'll give him Walcott.

Certainly not Tosun who was agreed before he came.

Mangala was a standard big Sam signing. Big clumsy crock.
I thought Walsh was behind Tosun's signing until Tosun himself confirmed it was Sam.
“I get on really well with Big Sam. He’s been in contact with me for a long time and wanted me when he was at Crystal Palace. He made it clear there would be a place for me at Everton."
