I heard he was a Sam signing too.

Palace nearly signed him last summer. After Sam left there but it could’ve been someone he’d recommemded. Also:

“Sam contacted me beforehand, told me he watched my matches and wanted to see me in his team,” Tosun added.

“He told me he wanted me because he thought I would be useful to Everton.”

That's typical new signing guff mate who really knows who picked him out. I'll give him credit for Tosun and Walcott but let's not make out he's some genius at spotting players. Equally I could throw his Mangala signing or his treatment of Lookman in there. He has a type, 'experienced' physical direct players largely. We need a builder who will trust in young players and supplement with quality and play with an ethos, Sam has shown very little pattern of play in months since we've been safe and discarded players like Klassen, Vlasic (he's only just getting a game now) Lookman who we should be looking at for next season.

Being in Europe, challenging for trophies, playing sustainable atracking football, showing constant improvement, using money wisely, not appointing dinosaurs.

Chelsea have been one of the most unstable clubs the past decade yet have been the most successful. Arsenal’s stability hasn’t brought them a major trophy aside of the FA cup for 13 years. We were stable under Moyes and didn’t win a bean. City sacked a double winning manager because Guardiola was available.

Ambition and decisiveness bring success. Stable mediocrity guarantees mediocrity. By their very nature, successful businesses are constantly unstable because they continuously change to retain a competitive edge. Everton view years of top half finishes as success. It’s not.

I'm sat in the cinema waiting for Sherlock Gnomes to start Tim, all I have left in life is trying to stir up confrontation on the internet.

Please let me have that.

Oh I would never take that right away from anyone, not even my worst enemy.

As long as you accept my right to boo people on the internet through the screen of my phone, then we are all good here Bungle mate.

OK?

Completely agree. Clappers do not sadly.

We all want the above Tim...

But to achieve the above you must have stability & big Sam will give us that going into next season...

Taking us on from being stable is still the big question...

We will find out this summer in the transfer window with all the comings & goings & then next season will be the test to see if Sam can take us to the next level...

Seems a fair deal to me, but if you could just agree with @davids superior opinion that would be splendid.

Stability...

Solidity,steadiness,security,sturdiness,stoutness,soundness,reliability,dependability...

What is your idea of stability...?

There's nothing stable about having a manager 80% of the fanbase don't want and who is so short term it hurts. A few bad results and he will be under pressure for his job.

Why do you think it's worthwhile to compare those no marks to us? Staying up is not even a thing at Everton. Unless you're about 65 years old.
Funny you should mention that I was two days ago.And staying up not a thing at Everton? Did you sleep through the Wimbledon,Coventry and Walter Smiths last season. And Moyes second season obviously passed you bye unnoticed.Bet you were as cool as a cucumber when we were getting turned over at Hull under Martinez.

His 25 year career says he can't.
