I think berating sam on the fact that he has won nowt is a bit unfair. He has been the manager that turns up to clubs to stop a slide..he has never been given a real chance to achieve anything, no big budgets...no star players to work with. He has basically been hamstrung with relegation fodder for years..
Do i want him at our club...well no ...
but to say he hasnt been succesfull in the roles he has been given...I would say he has.

Maybe but he lowers expectations to make himself look good. Boxes off certain games as losses beforehand. He is a negative manager, at least try to win football matches he's just talking us down to his level(he put us in the bracket of West ham) and managing expectations. I want to at least hope and try for better, even if it doesn't happen, not be told to get back in our box and be grateful for average and lump it. This acceptance of mediocrity filters through the entire club and for years before him so its an endemic problem from the board down. But Sam just reinforces it and that attitude will just cement us here in perception and reality. Standing still is declining in football. We need to strive to be the best we can be not accept our lot. You will see fans drift away from the club if they have no hope, because for many fans hope is all we have even if it's naive hope.

Yeah but just appointing an attack mided manager with this current lot will see us bummed, Surly you can see that...sam is working with the majority of that dross that fell apart when attempting exciting football. His two signings are an attempt to rectify that situation...actually this is mad. Im not for sam staying but I don't think its just the manager who needs replacing...half our team are delicate indiviuals who need a kick up the backside first.

I really like you Mouts, your a great guy and very provide a lot to this forum, Orly however is a bully who provides nothing to this forum but spam.

I don’t see the need for the constant abuse The Esk gets, when he helped a lot of people out on this very forum, unlike Orly who just bullies ppl

Thats a very harsh assessment frandel, Orly is a good poster, a very good poster and somebody I consider a very good frandelino.

To say he doesnt offer the forum anything is wrong, everybody offers the forum that little bit something, whether they make 2 posts or 20000 posts, we all add to the mix that is Grand Old Team forum.

Theres a reason Esk gets such a hard time, hes been exposed time and time again as an utter wham chatter.

But hes gone all in on Big Sam getting the sack and I for 1 am rooting for him, like I was rooting for him when he said Witsel was ours, Jose was interested in the job and Mata was incoming.

He puts his thoughts on twitter for the world to see, he stands and falls by his words, like we all do.

The index provided by Orly Frandelino was a very effective tool I thought last summer it certainly helped provide some light-hearted entertainment in a period when we didnt have Everton to ruin our weekends. It clearly wasnt for everyone, but I and many others enjoyed the relief and intel it provided and I feel it helped weed out the wham chatters, of which there were many, many, many.

Anyway, as I keep saying, I really, really hope Esk is correct and today will be 1 game closer to seeing the words we all wish to see :

Club Statement regarding Manager

I love how the Sam lovers think that everyone else want him out because he's a bit overweight and we're all dreadfully rude. I can only assume none of the Sam brigade have been watching the "football" we play or read any of his comments.

Funny thing is that if he didn't have such an obnoxious personality (his only managed to keep his smugness down for the first few weeks) then a lot of us would probably forgive the awful football of this season and give him some leeway on staying. However dire football + awful person = OUT

We need a " Managers Weasel Index ", that`d certainly provide some entertainment.

@orly

Haha, this is what moshiri wanted. You have been lead a merry dance by the board. If Silva is the intended target them we might as well go home now....we do not need any more losers at this club
I continue to back Me. Moshiri 100% btw
Still convinced that Sam will be gone. Just takes a bit time...and that tortures me

A bit of humility, instead of arrogance, wouldn`t go amiss too.

It would be bearable if he was Mourinho, rather than a relic from the past.

a horror but he is by far the best of the "oh my god we are going down make a panic appointment" managers
My #1 choice after Southampton gave us a beat down, I don't think anyone should really have a problem with his appointment but we don't want him next season for obvious reasons.

The main reason esk gets stick is he posts things as fact, when It obviously isn’t.

He seems a sound lad, but best to try not to be ITK when you aren’t
