To tell you the truth Khal, that's the first time I've ever seen/heard him.

Years ago, when talkSPORT was a good station and Durham was a proper football journalist rather than the Shock Jock WUM he is today, he hosted a programme called Football First in Europe, Lou.

And he had big Gab Marchotti giving the Italian angle, Raphael Honigstein from Germany and Gwilluame Balague from Spain.

Every Monday night.

And it was always a fascinating conversation for hours.

Gab then went on to Euro Sport for a while as pundit when they showed Serie A on Sunday evenings.

If we’d have been beaten 0-1 I’d personally not be slagging Sam off, these is no other conceivable way we could have got a result other than parking the bus.

We know we are massively short up top and we have played terrible with the ball all season, especially away. Nothing is going to change interns of that in a week.

Newcastle is another away game so I won’t be expecting us to be brave on the ball seen as we haven’t won away in almost 12 months, but for some reason I still expect the three points.
yep, theres a clear argument for what sam did yesterday, whether people agree with it or not, surely everyone can understand the argument, though rooney either plays in the center or doesn't play, and in fairness to sam he rectified that at half time, and his quality saved us a point

Can anyone tell me how many points we had after the same amount games last season ??... having an argument with an RS in work ..
We had 23 points after 16 games last season and sat in 8th place so we were better off by only 4 points.

On another point if we'd have performed like that under Koeman he'd have been absolutely slated for it by those proclaiming a masterclass from Allardyce the two faced agenda driven beauts.

After the woeful form the team have been in before big sam, and how awful the defending has been, where we were conceding at least 2 a game.

To come up against and limit a team who have one of the best attacking forces in European football at the moment, on their on turf in a fixture we are usually awful in.

And to even come away with a point when we created on chance, and took that chance.

Deserves huge credit.
Big sam hasn't been here long and is bringing confidence back. He's building a foundation from what we can build from.

I think more than half of those points were gathered in the first five or six games.....then we went on a horrendous run of firm from about the middle of September onwards
