...I still don’t see signs of us opening teams up away from Home. I’d be chuffed with a win but I suppose i’m still bruised by Southampton. We were abysmal in possession on Sunday so i’m still a little nervous.
Same, and trusty old Everton never let others down, when a player hasn't scored all season, you can bet they score agaisnt us, when a team needs a win to halt a tailspin, roll on Everton lol. We SHOULD be winning it but going by the laws of Everton I'm nervous about it.

Benitez - Fact !

Got to be honest that I wasn't that enamoured with the thought of Big Sam - although ironically had always argued he was underestimated in terms of him using progressive techniques earlier than most - more his public demeanour puts me off.

Have to say now though; it is so good to have a manager who has a clear plan. It may only take us so far, but it is far better than the dross of the past few seasons. The players will know where they stand, he won't get messed around by Walsh and Co, he can see all the same things we can in terms of unbalanced squad and lack of depth in certain areas and, surprisingly more than I thought, sounds like he is keen to keep the youngsters coming through.

Don't know if that is entirely true. He said something along the lines he will adapt to what the players are good at and who the opposition is. Last weekend your statement was true as he knew the RS would swarm trying to win the ball high up the pitch and we would more than likely lose possession in a dangerous area.

Imo we need a few more games to get to an answer of are we going to play a brand of hoofball more often than not. Nothing wrong going direct as long as we have got direct players. Just imagine a Vardy type running on from a quick through ball from Rooney or even Pickford. I don't think any of us what to see the ball just pinged up in the air for a 50/50, let's hope he doesn't go that direct.

Maybe not hoofball but there's no way he's getting that team to play a slick passing game with the players we have.

While Allardyce may have fired the first shot in the latest outbreak, he clearly is not inclined to permit a thaw in relations, blaming Benítez for taking the row beyond the professional realm.

“He has got personal with it for many, many years now, and that is why I do not like him, and the feeling is probably mutual,” said the Blackburn manager, who has not recorded a win over Liverpool since 2006.

“That is not a road I go down, but I clearly get under his skin and that can be a benefit to my side when we play them.

“I do criticise him personally. Yes, I get into him but that is all part of the game. The tit for tat between me and Rafael will probably go on until one of us is no longer a Premier League manager.

“But it was a good cover-up by Rafael because he knows how bad his side were [against Blackburn] and that was repeated against Wigan on Monday night.

“The last time one of the 'big four’ did not finish in the top four it was Liverpool, and it looks pretty difficult for them now. They are having to rely on other teams slipping up. It will be difficult for them because there are more teams involved.”

Benítez did not wish to say anything about Allardyce’s comments or give the Blackburn manager “any publicity”.
