It's mentioned all over this forum that Sams style isn't pretty and it's not, but it's getting results. I acually think if we had have got a so called top manager they would still have to have gone about it this way to start with. I'm hoping to see a bit more nicer football against Swansea, but if not and we win I'm happy to see it this way untill mid January, when hopefully we can get in a couple of half decent forward players in so we can be more attacking minded. Sam will know when he has settled in properly with a squad with a few of his additions, he know fans will expect nicer football, hopefully this is just a start if good things to come. Europa league qualification is certainty not out of the question thus season COYB.

Ha! Give it time, delighted with the win but our luck will run out eventually

Of course it will.

But that's not the point. The point is there were idiots writing him off before he'd managed one game.

I amongst others took the opinion that he had my complete support until proven otherwise.

Also that he'd get us back to basics, give us a plan, and make us hard to beat.

So far so good

He has consistently dug us out of it whenever he has been given a chance. Honestly can't figure out why he isn't in amoungst it every week. Offers something that no one else does and gives 100%
Yes a winger who is quick and can defend, the mind boggles why Koeman couldn't see he could help him, but he was stubborn on it ultimately cost him his job.

Getting Ashley Williams to play well, we'll be on the verge of building a statue by the end of the season.

Full credit to Allardyce, he's came in and done what was needed straight away. You can pick up points so easily in this league given the lack of quality outside the top sides.

Going forward we obviously need to play a lot better overall, unfortunately I don't think we've got the players to play any other way for now.

IMO Sams big job was to try and get us into a comfortable position by January, when additions can be made (mainly a quality striker) Sam has more or less don't that in 3/4 games. His next job is setting us up to be a quality attacking force, I am longing to see some fluent football, but the way we are at the moment will do for the time being. All please remember Koeman did leave this team in a right old mess.

Look, i never wanted him as manager and i would prefer to play 'the school of science ' way. However I'm not that stupid to expect things to chamge overnight, we looked absolute Klopp's teeth a month ago. Solidify for the remainder of the season then see where we are heading then.

In fairness the sh!te should have beaten us handy and apart from them we’ve played the 2 worst teams in the league. Fortune favours the lucky
