No excuse to not send the team out and absolutely smash Swansea. Our goal difference is still terrible and that needs to change. Get the game wrapped up within the hour then stick some fringe players on.

I am sure Sam will not burden the team with any greater burden than to go out and win the game.

If we just keep winning the goal difference with rightify itself before too long.

I think we have to remember that Koeman sparked a similar turnaround last year. Sam is doing a great job right now, but a bad result or two and we're back to the drawing board re fan sentiment. We're looking stable and hard to beat. I hope and, dare I say, believe that Sam can do more and that he gets our full support

It will happen..

But I think Sam would make changes and actively do something to change it rather than carry on like Koeman would do.

Job done so far, we are not leaking goals, and that's 3 wins in 5 in the league, but for him to keep his job we must be playing more attractive attacking football before the season ends, need a decent striker bought or on loan in January.

The turnaround Koeman sparked was only putting right a slump he himself had overseen, Prev.

He reprised that slump later on that season and it continued into this one and I for one do not think he would have been able to dig us out of that hole thus time.

Sam walked into a mess not of his own making and has improved things immediately.

Don't get me wrong, I've really warmed to the guy. It actually looks like he wants to be here and I reckon he will get a support structure that he has pretty much gone without in every job he's had since Bolton. We've had a rough few years, but we're not a basket case club, I'm interested to see how he'll do

...everything he says about us being poor in possession and offering no threat is entirely accurate. I’m sure he wants us to break with pace and purpose but we’re not capable of doing that just now. He can’t turn us into Barcelona overnight but his concentration will be on introducing players who make us better in possession.

Finally we have a manager that talks straight, makes an effort to explain what he is thinking and genuinely comes across as being delighted to be at Everton. Long may it and the results continue.

I like having a manager that takes time out to study the game and is genuinely knowledgeable and tactically clued up as a result, rather than one who treats it like a dead end part time job and goes on 7 holidays a year.
