I am not all for this Sam love in, we have played some very poor teams and looked very average against them.

Apart from the goal that was gifted to us yesterday we never looked like scoring against a side who have 1 point in their last 7 games

Yes, certainly, but we beat them. Which is what you are supposed to do. Which is what we had failed to do. I dont think people are pretending we can compete for the top 6. But they understand that the rest of the league is...poor.

That same West Ham team we thrashed lost 2-1 at Man City, beat Chelsea, and drew Arsenal since. Actually winning is just not as easy as playing football on paper, even against bad teams.

I will say that Sam.has done what he always does and that is shore up a leaky defence. Not sure what he can do about the attacking line as he doesn't have much to work with.

I was very much against his appointment...because of what it meant.

Perhaps I was wrong. This is the biggest club job he's ever had. Maybe he gets that and his man management will shine.

Love the way he mentions the players names in a very avuncular manner.

That must make them feel ten foot tall when they watch that on their TV or tablet.

I like that too.
I always thought with Koeman that if you asked what he thought of Mason Holgates performance for example, he would be thinking “who the **** is Mason Holgate”.

Sam comes across as a good man-manager.
