What did he say about Walsh

...he was asked about the transfer dealings, who has the last say on signings etc.

He said the club has masses of data on possible acquisitions, it’s a matter of getting players in ‘who tick all the boxes’ in the positions we need. Nobody has the final decision, it’s more that they all agree who to get in. Lots then depends on whether the player is available at the right price. Sometimes a player might become available that they haven’t particularly targeted but who they think will really help the cause.

I think much of the work on transfers will be in the domain of Walsh and Shakespeare. I think Allardyce is content with that arrangement because he trusts them both.

The other thing he said was that the current squad is too big.

Bugger ; copy and paste time.

SA on transfers: “There is a list of targets, but the window becomes very difficult, but very interesting. All of a sudden, one pops up you never expected to be available and you look at what you have in your database and you realise that player would be very interesting.”

SA on transfers: “Data has been gathered and collected - availability, what he does, his price, what contract, does he want to come? That process is already in place with Steve Walsh. We’ll communicate with the owners and whatever decision is made, we’ll be moved on with it.”

Allardyce on January targets: "A huge amount of data has already been gathered. The final decision is collective." Adds that squad is "massive" and several young players might be loaned out.

He said he will have to sit down with a few of them, its not the young players i want to see going out on loan, id prefer to see the also rans like Besic and Mirallas

depending on West Ham's position come January i wouldn't be surprised it Davey comes in for Jags and Kev. Possibly both besic and McCarthy can go - they're never fit enough to play anyway and i wouldn't be surprised if one of Stek or Joel left as well.

Mirralas would`ve gone to them in the Summer, if it`d been a permanent deal.

Can`t see their fans being too happy with Jags and McCarthy tbh.
