The players took it seriously alright and so they should have. Soton was the ideal bounce back and they failed but the west Ham game fits the bill as a bounce back game because coincidentally BFS was taking over and sitting in the stand. There was influence from BFS indirectly or directly.....we do not know.
Was the victory against Watford down to Allardyce too?

You'd think we couldn't get a win without him.

He's had four games and we've done ok. Let's see if it continues.

I don't really understand everyone calling many of our results lucky.

Even against the RS. Yes they dominated possession but as we know from our dear friend Bobby that doesn't win football matches.

We restricted them in terms of clear cut chances, as we have done with every opponent. Teams best chances against us come from outside the box, or nearly getting on the end of crosses. That's good defending. Not luck.

We were absolutely hopeless before he arrived. 12 points from 14 games was it? We've picked up more than that since he arrived alone. He's unquestionably improved us in the short time he's been here.

Don`t jump the gun, as I believe that due to Mr and Mrs Carroll not being too fastidious with their housekeeping, they may be struggling to find someone to rent a house to them, short term.

Unfortunately, Andy grew up in a caravan and struggled to adapt to living in a house.

@neil999 will be with us in due to course to clarify the situation.

I cant say too much but...i do have an appointment with a mrs c*****l to view this later...

Would be interesting to know how many of those players were saying to themselves "Absolutely brilliant, we've got Sam Allardyce, a top, top, quality manager, I'm going to raise my game and put in a performance just for him"
I think that the players realised that there was now a strong manager in charge and they knew that they would have to perform or be frozen out and shipped off by SA.

Players want to be on the field, not on the bench and certainly not in the stand. Everton is a big Premiership club and carries a level of prestige with it.
For whatever reason I have no doubt that players were throwing furtive glances up at Sam and hoping to impress. That would be commonsense.

I have absolutely no doubt they raised their game for him... the bounce given by a new manager is hardly a new phenomenon.

10 points in 4 games. Good going considering what went before. But apart from the Apollon game (which was played by a scratch team anyway) he had no two games per week to contend with and unlike Unsworth he was made FT manager and that has to affect the way a group of players puts the effort in.

10 from 12 isnt just good going, its Title winning form.

But yes, you are indeed correct, he didnt have 2 games a week, I mean last week we had 3 games in 8 days, 5 games in the space of 16 days.

Please attempt to make it harder.

and he's done this with 3 RB's in his back 4 two of which are basically children and the other championship level at best playing on the left hand side but still that's too easy.
