No complaints with him. His tactics nullify the best attacks in the league. Happy to eat my words about him coming in. At the end of the day it football is a results game it doesn't matter how you do it. If you get results you win stuff. Look at klopp and the rs. They're ridiculously good going forward but can't defend and he's under pressure there. Allerdyces mentality looks dire when you lose because you've essentially defended a loss but we are so hard to beat at the moment. Credit to him.

How does that work when we have won every game since he's been here bar one - with only one 1-0 win? We've scored 14 goals in 6 games, with lots of fluid passing and playing out from the back.

A club of our stature should be winning trophies, I don't care about anything else.

Football is entertainment for me, not trophies. I hate watching ugly football and that's what we'll have under big Sam. If Leicester City can win a league with lovely counter-attacking football, we can win cups and be good to watch.

Actually, my originally post had a typo. I meant other teams on similar points will be better to watch whole we're turgid.

Well done to Allardyce for getting the results he has. Even today we limited Chelsea to just a few chances. The team is still far away from where I think it should be. There's no way we should be so poor at keeping the ball.

Disagree.

Rooney is the only footballer we've got really. The squad is built to play like that imo

I'm saying with the money spent it shouldn't be as bad as it is. I fully understand that these players are absolutely awful with the ball right now.

The team is littered with players who the opposition can easily take it from or who are wasteful in possession: Davies, Lewin, Kenny, Lennon and Martina are gifting it back every single time. Then you've got Gueye and Schneiderlin who can't do anything past the half way line.

That's why Koeman got sacked.

Gueye was easily motm before he went off, so he was a big miss for the 2nd (Beni did okay tbf). It seemed like Sam didn’t prioritize this game with his CB pairing, but they did really well and we got a result regardless. Good stuff.
