It is woeful football but it is exactly what we needed result wise. We havent exactly world class players starting for us so having people say they hate playing us is something positive. Nobody will be saying thats a defo 3 points now.

You know what you are going to get. He was brought in to steady the ship not win the Champions League. I think he is doing great so far. I am sure that all of us would prefer some more expansive and expressive football but we need stability. If we can put lower teams to the sword and draw in games where pundits froth at the mouth at our tactics then for the time being I am happy.

6 league games. 14 points. That’s over 2 points per game which is better than CL qualifying form. Producing that with a team who were in a relegation fight and people are moaning.

Get it through your heads. The likes of Calvert Lewin Schneiderlin Gueye Lennon are never going to play joined up attacking football. Offensively we don’t have the players to do it. So we can either play like this and get results until the window opens or we can get caned every game like we did under Martinez and Koeman who actually had far superior offensive players available.

it wasnt wieful
it was a masterclass in defending and defending in a controlled and organised maner...there was little desperate defending and the constant expectation that we would fold eventually of recent seasons......
All that was missing was the ability to hold on to the ball once it was clear...as SA says...that will come. But this was high quality defensive footbal
