5 game form. Samuel Allardici strikes again.
And look at Watford

The embarrassing thing was that Sam's ambition was to get a 0-0 draw.

Chelsea put on a great display of attacking football and Everton matched it with a great defensive display, but nothing more.
As a short term strategy to build confidence back up and earn a few points it's acceptable, I suppose. But he has to find another way of playing or his time here will be resented as a step into the medieval period.

Up to him. He says a lot that we have to play better, so he knows what's expected.

Wouldn't have said it was a 'great' defensive display mate, we defended quite well, but we were all at sea at the back at times, and gave the ball away too cheaply a fair bit as well.

Am I the only supporter who was embarrassed by that performance.
West Brom v Everton coming up. The neutrals will cringe and run for the hills the way matters are right now. That hurts as an Everton supporter. We should never accept that football of the kind currently served up speaks for the club. Some of the period of Moyes' tenure was unbearable, but even he had a couple more strings to his bow. We cant go back to the Moyes days never mind accept something even more primitive.

Shall we sack him now Dave?

I seriously don't get the fuss over our recent performances. Yes its dire, but look at the injury list and look where we were a few weeks ago. Under Koeman it looked like an inescapable downward spiral into the championship.

He's hear to steady the ship. I doubt he'll be here next August. When the right manager becomes available we'll be in for him, Allardyce is on a 18 month contract after all.

Only if our current form continues and we win the FA cup will the board have a difficult decision to make. I very much doubt either of those scenarios will come to fruition.

I agree. But I think the fuss, such as it is, is just an impatience to see some good football again as well as securing a top ten place...which in this league and the money spent out by this club should be easily attainable low hanging fruit. Keep it tight against Liverpool in the cup and maybe United in the league by all means, but we have to start to see some football in the new year when we get players in/back from injury.

We will, dont fret.
