I suspect that if the man we want is available, willing and able to join us, Sam will get the final year of his contract paid off as a 'bonus' for delivering what we asked for (safety).

The attacking football is dire at the moment but the defence is solid. Both were dire under Koeman. He's doing exactly what was asked of him and you can't deny that.

The ball is well and truly in his court though mate :

Carry on with the boring hoooooof ball / safety / get binned off in the Summer.

Get them playing proper footy / safety / get kept on in the Summer.

What happens in the transfer window will give an indication of whether he wants to have a go or whether he wants a pay day.

finally someone responded to one of his posts. well done buddy it is about time. hope he is psyched from this.

Well i am happy that we remain unbeaten under Big Sam.Im happy with another clean sheet. That's 5 clean sheets in 7 games now with Sam Allardyce.I am disappointed though that we couldn't score a goal or two at the Hawthorns, and we leave with just a point.Im sure the anti Big Sam bedwetters, are kicking up a proper stink about that! But January is nearly here.Attacking wise the team needs to improve.Hopefully Sam Allardyce, will be successful in the upcoming transfer window, at getting in the attacking players we so badly need.

Allardyce has done a very good job stabilizing us and though I'm disturbed at playing 5 at the back against West Brom, I can fault very little of his performance so far.

The best thing he has done is polarize GOT into 2 extreme camps imo. Normally a new manager will have majority backing initially which will ebb and flow with results. Big Sam has come in here and made a clean cut right down the middle. The future of EFC is dull and functional, the future of GOT is v bright indeed

Ha ha most of our team injured and nothing upfront what do people want? I don't like seeing our team humiliated on a weekly basis and I bet everyone on here was begging for clean sheets 4 weeks ago. I did not want Sam at this club but he is here exceeding my expectations. Get behind our miracle worker.

I find the performances against Liverpool, Chelsea and West Brom humiliating to be honest.

We’re not in a relegation battle and we shouldn’t be setting up against sides as poor as WBA like we did yesterday.

It was 2 points dropped not a point gained.

7th is the minimum we should be expecting from this squad.

Having a go at Liverpool and Chelsea would've resulted in heavy defeats.

For me that would count as humiliating - battling for a draw isn't humiliating in our current form. Play to your strengths and that.

It was just luck, particularly liverpool, it wasn’t good defending and on another day they’d have put about 5 past us.

I think we might find that out in a week or so.

Judge him in Feb when players are back fit and he gets in couple of players he wants.
Short memories our fans.
Attackers are needed as the quality is not there and he knows it

Doing his job perfectly, in most professions he’d just be judged on results performance or methods wouldn’t be as important.
Unfortunately he has thousands if not millions who demand to be entertained and needs to get the balance right.

I also believe this unbeaten run might be a bit of a monkey on his back now and it’s taken precedent over us actually trying to win games.
