We aren't the form team of the league though are we mate? We are fifth on it, a mighty two points over that period (6 games) ahead of Palace under Hodgson.
What has he done exactly, sured up the defence - by sticking 10 players behind the ball, quite a few managers are capable of doing that if they don't care about going forwards in more than 2-3 players at most most times.
In the last 5 we have the same wins as West Ham have - they actually beat Chelsea away from home though rather than playing for a 0-0 at home. under Moyes they have actually played a more difficult set of games than us as well, and have actually crossed the half way line sometimes.
Many managers could have done what Allardyce has done, he's just set the team out with the 100% goal of staying behind the ball and not taking any risk whatsoever with the ball and if in doubt or by choice to smash it 70y upfield or out ofm play so the team can then get back into set defensive positions.
Not gonna mention the fact we have been incredibly lucky during his set of games as well, Newcastle hitting the bar/post twice, chelsea hitting it, Rondon falling over when clean through, a lot of pens awarded that you see just as easily not given most weeks.

I'm happy with a point yesterday because it's better than none, but it doesn't mean I have to be happy with the negative/defensive park the bus way we set-up.
The other thing I find funny is, some lads going on saying that Allardyce has no choice playing this way because of the players he has available to him etc, it's as if some think Allardyce played this boss expansive footy before he came, when in all reality the way we set-up yesterday was how Sam has been playing nearly all his managerial career.
