People have short memories.

Six weeks ago we were in a tailspin towards the Championship despite a talented and expensively assembly squad.

Look at us now: unbeaten having outplayed both the RS and Chelsea

We're back!

Everton Pre Big Sam

Atalanta 3 Everton 0

Lyon 3 Everton 0

Everton 1 Atalanta 5

Everton 0 Spurs 3

Manchester 4 Everton 0

Everton 2 Arsenal 5

Southampton 4 Everton 0

That's the sort of scorelines we were recording in matches. Now Everton with Big Sam.

Everton 2 Huddersfield 0

RS 1 Everton 1

Newcastle 0 Everton 1

Everton 3 Swansea 1

Everton 0 Chelsea 0

West Brom 0 Everton 0

Apollon Limassol 0 Everton 3

So we have played 7 games in the Big Sam era, and only yesterday was the first time i felt a bit disappointed with the result.Big Sam has not even been here a month, but the stats speak for themselves, with regards to how we have progressed and improved.

What was my plan?? I don’t have a say in the running of the club
Right. So no views at all then on what we should have done? If so that makes your criticism of Allardyce given his outstanding results all the more harsh. The guy has been here for six games and has already vanquished the all too real threat of relegation, and your response is to demand his immediate removal

As is painfully obvious from this thread fans are still clinging to the comforts that Moyes gave us... accepting we will never challenge (i mean why would we want to go to west brom and try to win...) but always getting that 7th place trophy... fans get the club they deserve in the end and it is going to be a long long time before we win another trophy if people are genuinely defending that utter garbage from yesterday...

Don't think anyone is defending the style of Football. No one wants that type of footy. What people are defending is BFS record since he came here. Some are forgetting the actual mess we were in before BFS and concentrating on the style of footy rather than LOOKING at the points we have got since BFS took over. We needed him in to steady a sinking ship and he has done that. Undefeated in 7 games since his arrival, mid-table (who would have thought that a while ago).

We are unhappy with his football style (no difference to what was served up before) but what we needed was points and safety....we have more or less got that now.......so we shall beat him with a stick over his style rather than applaud him for getting the points and relative safety and being unbeaten.

Don't think BFS will ever be offered a long term contract here but will have the possibility of 1 year extensions if the style is better and the results stay similar. He is a short term solution to get us out of a mess and so far he has passed with flying colours.

None of this post is true.

"people have short memories" - subjective, my opinion

"six weeks ago we were in a tailspin towards the Championship" - look at the results lad, we were enjoying relegation form

"despite a talented and expensively assembled squad" - we spent a lot of dollar in the summer by our standards and few here were complaining when we brought in Davy, Gylfi, Keane and Pickford for £££££

"Look at us now: unbeaten having outplayed both the RS and Chelsea" - we are unbeaten under Sam FACT; we put the other lot back in their box and bossed the reigning champions playing our own game

"we are back!" - again subjective, my opinion, but this place needs an injection of positivity

In context to what happened before this season the results can be viewed as good (not outstanding), in context to what we should expect and be doing - then no mate the results aren't close to outstanding.

So Sam gets no credit st all for taking over a team that was flat on its back, and making them the form team of the league in four weeks

Has been very lucky the way the games fell as our start was very difficult, he has faced Newcastle, Huddersfield, Swansea, West Ham and Bournemouth next, OK we got two good draws (results wise but [Poor language removed] performances). I am waiting for him to get to 40 points then we can see the exciting (remember that ?) and progressive football BFS has always been known for.

We’re not back anywhere! We are boring to the point I can’t even be arsed watching it on the telly never mind bothering my arse going the game!

Going through all our moments in games and singling out when the oppo got close to scoring and other moments and claiming we're lucky. That's not even kopite. It's beyond it. Very impressive.
