No, you are totally missing the point.

We had not won away all year so why would we have at least expected to beat Newcastle away?

Its like our awful start to the season and our pish form away from home for 2017 didn't happen.

None of it is a miracle, he has however done a good job so far which is all that matters.

Even though we hadn’t won away, I did still expect to go away to lower sides and win.

The fact that we never is a big reason as to why the last manager was sacked.

Going to rubbish like Newcastle and not winning on a regular basis with the squad we have is a sackable offence.

Just putting out there. He has been exceptionally lucky.

I hope he leaves in the summer. I hope we don’t sign any dross picked by him.

He’s not for this club. The medium to long term damage he could cause if given a chance beyond the summer worries me.

He is here for a reason and he is serving his purpose.

We’ve had a bit of luck, but the improvement in our defence isn’t luck. That’s what is keeping us undefeated.

We have given up the pretence of creative attacking football. The next 4-5 games will set out how improved our defence is. The issue with BS is not how he sets up a team to defend but almost every other aspect.

How much creative attacking football have you seen us play this season? Our midfield has struggled to keep hold of the ball all season. We’ve missed Rooney badly the last 2 games as well.

Why are people guessing the future? No one knows what will happen so why wish him failure? I like his straight forward ness and clarity. Why do people want him to fail? It’s mental. He’s a character, English, respected, not Klopp or Jose, hard as nails, funny and the players seem to love him. Nope, he’s rubbish, ignore player and expert comment, let’s get rid and get Miguel SpanishitalianPolesequez. Must be good, got runner up in Portugal.

What has his nationality got to do with his ability to manage a football team ?

Sam has, quietly, got some of our expensive underperformers performing again. Keane and Schneiderlin to be precise. Ok, but (sorry!) it is only two or three games, but they look different players to the frightened lambs they'd morphed into. It's something fans of other clubs he's managed have suggested to me in the past (Sunderland and Bolton): he seems able to tap into players and get them playing.

Shame he can't get the passing. Still, can't have everything. Hooooof!

Be gutted if he goes in the summer, for the first time we have taken a experienced manager that isn't a punt, and it's working out very well. If he goes in the summer it's only because the second half of the season went down hill.
I really want him to stick around, why should he steady the ship only for some foreign manager to come in who might make another Koeman/Fraudio type mess? No for me it's Big Sam for at least 18 months

...be it luck, be it bounce, be it both, the turnaround since Southampton away is extraordinary and we are now in a position only the most optimistic could have imagined. Allardyce has to be congratulated for that, I can’t see how anybody else could’ve got a better return with this group of players.

Now he has a platform, a bit of wiggle room to make us a better team with the football. Everybody wants us to be better in possession, to offer more threat and be more expansive. Allardyce has mentioned this in his post match interviews, let’s see if he can make this happen with a few new signings and players returning from injury. Given a top 10 finish, he’ll have done enough to suggest he’ll be in charge for at least another season.
