He’s got no prem quality striker (let alone 2 or 3 like nearly all his peers). The midfield severely lacks pace and invention. All of his best players are/were injured (Barkley McCarthy Bolasie Funes Mori Coleman Baines Gueye), he’s come in mid season with confidence utterly shot and form wretched. Despite all this he’s 9th.

What do you reckon he could do with a fully fit squad of his players with a pre season behind him and a proper goal scorer up front?

Just for some perspective for the over entitled anti Sam brigade. The teams with comparable strike forces to us are: Swansea, Newcastle, West Brom, Brighton. You could even argue from that list that Bony Abraham Rondon and Rodriguez would get in our team no problem. Where are they in the table? We are massively ahead of where we should be because of what Sam has done. Niasse and Calvert Lewin whilst having merit is a worse strike force than the teams in the relegation zones yet people are moaning because our forward play isn’t fizzing yet. Grow up.

Also had to put with some who are not injured and frigging about - Mirallas and Schnieds plus some nowhere near PL level - Klassen and Ramirez.

I am not anti Sam just saying his stabilising job mission accomplished - he now has to get signings to balance the squad and lets see after January if we improve football wise!
one shot on target v 2nd from the bottom of the league was painful!

You missed out shameful and embarrassing.

Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooof !

Think back a month ago would you sooner we got walloped every game? I don’t agree with today’s team but I do know Allardyce has saved us from a dogfight.
Mate. I can understand this type of line up for Monday, and again against the RS in the cup and Spurs away the week after. But against West Brom and again today, he had an opportunity to try and play a more expansive game. With our line up today we have once again handed the initiative to the opposition before a ball has been kicked. Surely you can't be happy with this.
