Bar the lukaku f--- up last season, this summer brought me such hope, finally someone putting some money into our club, someone else wanting us to take that nxt step, from the youth system to the first team squad and even a new stadium on the horizon, who couldn't be happy! And now I find myself stuck in a Sam allardyce thread on the back end of a defeat at Bournemouth! Can someone please wake me up from this awful nightmare..
Me too, I was over the moon with our summer buys, but apart from Rooney and Pickford they have been a real disappointment, some should come good but I think a few will go with out us really seeing them play. Starting the season without a recognised striker was a massive step back to begin with and that has just got worse.

@Zatara
Unsworth slaughtered by lots of blues and in the media - points return 7 in 4 games (1.75 points per game)
Allardyce - being lauded by a lot of blues and the media - points return 12 in 7 games (1.71 points per game)

Fair enough we got slaughtered by Saints in a terrible worrying performance, but honestly mate the last two games against West Brom and Bournemouth - we have mustered 4 shots on target - and none in the first half of either game.

are next two league games are Man U at home, followed by Spurs away - honest opinion how do you thin Big Fat Sams points return will look after 9 games in charge?

IF we lose the next two games - Allardyce will have 12 in 9 games (1.3 per game) - basically a 50 point season average

I honestly believe the luck bubble burst today, hand on heart you can't argue the fact we should have lost both the derby and to Chelsea and to West Brom, and at most got a draw from the Newcastle game - if luck would have been level we'd have been sat with about 7 out the last 7 games mate, which history shows is Allardyce's level.

BFS has been bought in to do a job, that job is to get us through this season and anything more than that would be, not only a bonus, but also with his renowned style of play, a miracle. Today's defeat most certainly won't be the last this season, I'm sure many more will follow. However, although I, along with the majority of us, am not enjoying his style of play and lack of attacking prowess, we must put everything into perspective, at least until the summer.

Our much beloved club has been ridiculed, embarrassed and made to look like a cheap circus and then some over the past 5-6 months. Koeman and the board have been completely incompetent and taken football immaturity to an unprecedented level.
We aren't going to turn this shambolic situation around overnight or even in a few months, what Sam and the board can and have to do is take baby steps forward to put us back on something like the right track.

A few decent signings, such as Cenk and N'zonzi will, I'm sure, assist in this together with the re- integration of our long term absentees. My hope as a lifelong blue is that we make and continue to make some kind of progress. This hope doesn't evaporate through a loss to a team I expected to be beating comfortably 6 months ago, hard working but boring performances or the lack of great attacking football in matches 6,7 and 8 of BFS tenure.
We
re any of us expecting anything more? I doubt it seen as the majority didn't and still don't want Sam here!

Ultimately, all I and we all should care about is the longer term plan. What happens next season and beyond once this catastrophic damage has been somewhat repaired.

This season, as always, I will continue to support my team and my club and yes Sam too. Has the the previous club management and hierarchy totally messed up?- yes. Have they ruined our expectations?-yes. Does it hurt?-yes.
But do I love my club any less and will my relationship with it weaken?-no.
First and foremost, I am a blue no matter what, not a fair weather blue, just a blue
I am proud to support Everton football Club and look forward, in time, to knowing that the words Nil satis nisi optimum mean something great again!!!

Nailed on they beat us

OFC they will do, BFS this week showed what his expectations are, on the back of a 6 game under him and 7 game total unbeaten run, he stated that 8/9th would represent a success for us this season, that showed what he is, a rs team with no defence - we refuse to even attempt to attack it, west brom and Bournemouth both on their arses in form, we decide to sit deep and play 3 dms in one to allow them to build confidence and dominate us, my mate @MickA reckoned by March he would be gone - tend to agree with him more and more, United and the rs and then Spurs next, - thats gonna be a 4 game losing streak and 6 game without a win coming up...

Really can't see Allardyce lasting beyond this season. Moshiri and Co will crap themselves and give him the boot when season ticket renewals fall, because, let's be honest, who would want to pay £500+ to watch that every fortnight?
