I do like to hear him talk , there is no BS like Martinez and Koeman both I would switch off at some stage in their interviews.

I did like to hear him.

But constantly slating our forwards, including a 20 year old boy who has been leading the line on his own all season, and saying they don’t produce enough when he only plays 3 forward players is starting to grate on me a lot.

He's very good at stating the obvious or things the masses want to hear. Pretty soon he's gonna have to back that up with actions on the pitch cos if there's one trait the people of this city have it's a real talent for it's seeing through bullshit.

Yup. Slating the attack for not scoring enough goals and then selecting a team that doesn’t look like it has a goal in it is very weird.

he got it wrong yesterday

bad set up and the third change (bringing Bolasie on) while a positive sub, was a poor one when we needed energy in the middle of the park and had Davies available.

no need for three players like that in midfield against Bournemouth and Sigurdsson should have played centrally from the start, with Vlasic or Lookman given a chance on the left.

We move on. Didn't deserve anything from that game and the luck we had against Chelsea and WBA ran out. A shame but now we have to rectify that heading into two massive games.

Sam has impressed me so far but in the last two games has fallen into the trap that has got him labelled as a long ball merchant all along. When we had a settled side, with Rooney in the middle and partnerships developing across the pitch, we looked a lot sharper, so it's now about getting back to that side asap now we're through the worst of the festive pile up.

So just Utd and the RS up next then...........

Surely, surely Sam is just here to organise us in the short term and move on? Keep us up, shake hands, thank Sam and off he goes.

There is nothing in his career to suggest he can improve teams in the long term, scout good players or integrate youth. The idea of giving him £50m to buy players is ridiculous. We have a bloated squad as it is.

The money we are wasting is staggering. We spent more on Siggurdsson, Klaassen, Scheniderlin and Bolasie then the RS have on Mane, Salah, Coutinho and Firminho. We are looking to spend another £45m on Tosun and Nzonzi when they've got Naby Keita for that.

Erm, he brought Bolasie on in the 71st minute when we'd actually been on top.

It was the wrong change though because Bolasie offered zero in terms of defending and was clearly miles off the pace.

Had he had Vlasic available, then fine, but really the change should have been Davies.

Gueye clearly went off because he was never gonna last 90 mins given his recent injury.

The last two games he has played two players who are miles off the pace to play, McCarthy and bolasie should have been playing in reserve games till ready.

Well, they need to be played at some point though.

I wasn't unhappy with McCarthy starting, but there was no need for three holding players. And there was no need for Bolasie to come on yesterday when he should really have been rested all together after playing an hour the other day.

I think you may be right about short term, we all know he wasn't first choice by some stretch and after the Saints debacle it was clear we needed someone who could stem the bleeding. Not doubting your maths and if you're right about those transfer numbers then it's food for thought, although you have to bear in mind the chronology and how the market has shifted north since the RS signed Coutinho.

TBH I've been quite impressed by his pressers and the unexpected almost humble nature of them. Haven't heard him criticising our forwards but if he has done, then he's just returning to type. The "never my fault" attitude of his is one of the many things I've disliked about the guy for years. Maybe he's starting to show his true colours in the aftermath of his first defeat:)

We where in a downward spiral to the bottom. Just cause Sam has pulled us up to the top ten doesn't mean you can get high and mighty about Bournemouth. A month ago we would all be predicting a loss. Hoping for a draw. Victim of his own success.
