What should be happening is what would happen at any semi well run club mate, we should be talking and getting into position a manager to take over soon as the season ends so he can already start to work on ideas and players.

Then again we can't because we aren't competently ran and our DOF is best mates with BFS

Yup the clubs at a cross roads which way are we going? What do we want? I mean right now all you can say is stay up on the evidence of FS appointment and that’s it.

Pretty much yup, because we have different motives at work from different people in positions of power at the club, we won't do anything other than survive unless we have an absolute bloodbath of a culling from the top down and then actual football people and modern ones at that put into senior positions and actual top end business people in charge of those areas which require that.

But hes solved the problem, the problem was we were getting carved open most weeks for 4 goals, which then creates a different problem, scoring goals, which has been a problem all season due to us not replacing the number 9 we had up top.

Look I get that the football isnt pretty and the recent results are quite bad, but hes done well to get some of the results he did, he jumped on the West Ham result and got a new manager bounce in, sadly we then [Poor language removed] the bed against 2 no marks and we face 3 top sides in our next 3 games, lets face it the likely result is gonna be 4 defeats on the bounce, which isnt ideal.

We/He has a window now in which the side still needs 2 of the players it needed in the summer, as a bare min, a Striker and a Left Back, thats the very min it needs, if we can ship a few players out then we can look at adding some other types of players.

But lets see what the side looks like after the window, get these 2 tricky games out the way and lets see what the rest of the season brings, at this point I would take getting to 40+ points then voiding the rest of our games.

In Sam we Trust.

He’s solved a problem by ensuring the 10 Out if the 11 players are behind the ball when possession is lost. This unfortunately negates anything else. He’s also had a large portion of luck.

Any half decent manager would have come in and identified the issues and resolved them. We had a mass hysteria and indecisive board that allowed the circus to continue.

We now have Sam Allardyce at the helm of our club, an abject failure throughout his management career is now sitting pretty as one of the best paid managers in the league.

The same person who, disregarding his words in the press, plays one way and one way only. Do not concede at any cost. We have entertained 2 relegation threatened sides, both have failed to win in a combined 27 matches and on both occasions we went with sole aim sitting deep and not conceding .

He’ll get his left back and his Kevin Davies replica, and we can look forward to picking up second balls in the oppositions half

What a time to be alive

This is our biggest downfall. Made evident when Walsh was pulling for BFS and Moshiri had his doubts. Double edged sword here. You'd hope he could trust the people he appoints but when bad appointments are made there has to be some push back.

Imo more likely Unsy being away from the youth was the reason for.their stumbling. Rather than a few young lads showing what they can do. Admittedly don't watch the youth though so fair one.
It was a strange one mate. The U23s had a game 2 nights before the Cyprus game. Rather than bulk out the squad with those players they took the best 5/6 lads from the u18s. Problem was the U18s had the FA youth cup 3rd round match the following night and lost as the lads hadn't recovered from the travelling (probably).

Don't think Unsy has much to do with the U18s apart from having the pick of their players for the U23s.

You've got Walsh who many on here don't rate and you've got Moshiri who wanted Simeone.

We're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Mate the appointment of Allardyce was based totally on this season not the next 2,3 or 5 years. It was a needs must situation based totally on staying up which 6 weeks ago looked unlikely. Same players now sit 9th they were 18th

No mate you are wrong. We were bottom and 12 points off getting out of the relegation zone.

Well that's what I tell myself every day to justify why he's been given the managers job lol
What a top quality post my friend and one of the reasons this forum is always worth logging into.
One of the best posts I've seen in ages!!
I think I too will start telling myself the same. We lost a massive amount of credibility the day Allardyce was appointed.
