Ultimately best case scenario is that Allardyce leaves in the summer - so for 'saving us' the club will have paid him 11m for those 6 months work Dave, 2m Compensation to Palace, 3m for this half season in salary and 6m pay off on the last 12 months of contract.

Amusingly that equates to a 212k pw salary
Pure blind panic.

And then people have a go at me for suggesting that this owner might not be the genius buisnessman they argue him to be.

11m is cheap considering it would have cost us 150m PER year due to relegation.

But we wouldn't have been relegated mate if we'd actually made a decision earlier on a permanent manager, the problem become an issue because the board waited and faffed around for too long, a bounce occurred soon as that doubt was gone.

I agree with the second part, but I'm not surprised there was panic as we were utterly dirge. Utterly dreadful conceding bare goals per game.

He cant stay beyond May.

Moshiri would be seriously pushing the envelope with a stalling stadium plan and a summer of selling ahead to allow Allardyce to stray beyond this season.

I think he's a bit of a gormless fool, but he's not that stupid.

Sorry Dave, I respect your right to your opinion, which varies from inspired all the way through to rubbish, and the above is one of the least acceptable. If Allardyce gets us into Europe from the handicapped start he had, he deserves the remaining year of his contract because he will have proved he is a decent manager of Everton. A better manager than the world famous Mr. Koeman, and a better manager than Roberto (Seasons 2 and 3).
Moshiris experience with managers(at Everton) is so limited that if Sam does 'OK' and we make progress, Mosh will want to keep him.
This is the reality, with its if and buts clauses, so any talk at this point of him'gone in May' is nonsense.

We were 100% relegation fodder though.

And don't be picky! with Sam in charge it's been 2 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses in the league - not.including the fact he would have somewhat influenced the west ham win also and got our first win in Europe lol.

That's all within the space of a month too.
Lol. He was so arsed about Europe he never even went and sent half the U18s. Cocking up any FA youth cup chances in the process.

Imo more likely Unsy being away from the youth was the reason for.their stumbling. Rather than a few young lads showing what they can do. Admittedly don't watch the youth though so fair one.

They put feelers out and made contact with Allardyce almost immediately.

Yeah, prudence should dictate we explored all avenues.

Anyway, I dont need to "argue the case" for Big Sam, his appointment made sure we sailed away from the rocky waters, you can argue all day that it wasnt needed, but sadly you dont have the "FACTS" I do, this meaning your words are just hot air, where as I can point to points in the bag.

It was dire. The S'ton game left me unnerved too. But the solution was there all the time: to officially install Unsworth. That would have put a lot of the problems to bed.

They robbed DU of his chance of becoming manager FT buy undermining him.
