I'd be going over the same things that others have said in the main mate but the 2 things that have really upset me are

1. Allardyce hasn't earned the right to be manager of Everton Football Club.

2. The boards clueless attempts to secure a manager has been an absolute piss take and made us look small time/clueless/rudderless and I'm fuming, absolutely embarrassed mate that they've represented Everton football club in such a way

Those 2 things mean a lot to me.

As much as we like to think it, the very best of football managers would not look at us without a transfer kitty of 800 mill so they could buy the players suitable to maintain their reputation with little risk. Having said that, Allardyce has not done too badly at getting the best out of players and it will be interesting to see what he can do with a bit more cash behind him and a number of good players here already. City and Chelsea just spent their way to the top, Man United spend big to remain there. To break into that sphere we need somebody to drive players who are not quite off the top shelf. I know we have no choice anyway but let us see. We have had worse.

Agree that the whole process was a shambles though.

I don't have a problem with Allardyce. Always thought he was a good manager. He's very good a fostering that siege mentality that winning clubs have and that we're sorely missing at the moment.

I don't have any faith in him in terms of mad net spends or having any real motivation beyond vast profits when we move.

There's a key phrase in the interview: Corrupt Sam "uses the players that he has". Does he get the best out of some players? Certainly. Does this suggest that there won't be huge pots of cash in January? Very possibly.

But that EvertonTv interview is so significant. It is Moshiri, speaking live about Everton, with Bill nowhere nearby. There is no fanfare and equally no relegation terror (and ffs there wasn't any need to). And Allardyce isn't a long term appointment and he won't get more than til the end of the summer even if he defies the odds and wins the Cup - he's doing a Guus Hiddink job here. Come in, sort out the unprofessional mess left by the previous incumbent, take your cash and retire. Suits all parties bar those of us reviled by having a man of his dubious track record in charge.

I get that. I just dont believe the recruitment search was anything like professional and after 6 weeks to come up with a disgraced, antiquated blagger who can get a tune out of players for 6 months or so rather than hire a man who can get us started on the next chapter was unforgivable.

The feller is completely clueless. You can say that as well as acknowledging he'll get rid of Allardyce quick smart when the first opportunity arises.

The fact that this thread has no usual title like "Confirmed: New Everton Manager Sam Allardyce" I think speaks volumes.

It's like there's an inability or unwillingness to comprehend it. lol

Ahh well. It's only 18 months maximum.

I for one am defo going to cease hostilities once we get going with him in the dugout. Even Allardyce deserves a clean slate to start off his time here with.

Terrible terrible appointment , shocking by moshiri the clueless gimp. Just got worried about his investment when steady and intelligence heads where needed.

5 weeks for this joke of a manager.
