The fact that this thread has no usual title like "Confirmed: New Everton Manager Sam Allardyce" I think speaks volumes.

It's like there's an inability or unwillingness to comprehend it. lol

Ahh well. It's only 18 months maximum.

I for one am defo going to cease hostilities once we get going with him in the dugout. Even Allardyce deserves a clean slate to start off his time here with.
And no enthusiasm

Can you imagine, if by some miracle Allardyce pulls the impossible and wins at Anfield. LFC beaten again by Allardyce, a manager most Evertonians don't even want. I think we have a chance oddly.

How many successful sportspeople are lovable. I've just finished reading a history of F1. Plenty of stories of amazing heroism but the cast of characters wanted results, results, results and would do whatever was necessary to get them. Why should Everton be different?

There never was much hope...

Just a fool's hope.

I worked in Limerick for a time and the people there who knew him spoke highly of him. Said he used to go door to door with the local priest looking for money for the team. He'd not of been my choice but he's the boss now so may as well get behind him and sniff his gravy farts.

I get that. I just dont believe the recruitment search was anything like professional and after 6 weeks to come up with a disgraced, antiquated blagger who can get a tune out of players for 6 months or so rather than hire a man who can get us started on the next chapter was unforgivable.

The feller is completely clueless. You can say that as well as acknowledging he'll get rid of Allardyce quick smart when the first opportunity arises.
Moshiri is really just a very good bean counter for an oligarch, but wet behind the ears when it comes to owning and running a football club.

Like most billionaires, he can afford a Lamborghini, but has no idea how to drive it.
It is the rest of the more "experienced" football club board members around him that disturb me, because if they are the ones giving him "driving lessons", then expect more of this...

Catterick was pretty much disliked by staff (and feared) and hated by a lot of supporters (he got battered by Evertonians away at Blackpool IIRC from his biography).

Not that Allardyce is on that performance level like.

Let's see if he learns quickly from these mistakes.

I have him marked down as clueless about hiring and firing in football and is only really concerned about real estate on behalf of his string puller. It'll take a lot of good decisions from now on to rehabilitate him.
