His subs today we're predictable as always. Like for like, tosun off for Cl, McCarthy off for Schindlerlin. Good managers change the shape of the team when its obviously not working. We won't get anywhere unless we get a manager who is aware of what's happening on the pitch and changes tactics to influence the game.

He should of hooked Rooney off after the first half and replaced him with Lookman, changing Sigurdsson to cam. The two dms should be covering the fullbacks when they attack, the wingers should overlap and make moves when we have possession in the centre of the pitch. We're so bad at football it's embarrassing. Roll on summer, bring in someone who actually knows how to set teams up properly.

He'll see us comfortably safe - I reckon 46-50 points and the very definition of midtable.

This is nowhere near good enough, but I admit I was genuinely nervous about relegation at end of Ronald's time and (as much as I wanted him to be the short term answer) also Unsworth prior to West Ham. Sam was necessary once Silva was a no-go, Unsworth kept losing, and no one else was fluttering eyelids at us.

The real annoyance for me is the millions that it is going to cost us to send him and his team on their way in summer. Rather than 18 months on 6m a year in the big picture it would have been better to give him 7/8m for 6 months work knowing we would shake hands at the end of it.

I cannot believe even this board will be blind enough to waste another season by keeping him in place for 18/19.

He'd need 19-23 points from here, or 6-7 wins from 15. Where's he suddenly winning 40% of his games from when he's managed 3 in 12?

Going by his sound bites this is Sams way of showing and telling us that his boring defensive way is the only way we can get anything out of games. A way of justifying playing that way til the end of the season maybe

And he'll still somehow be lauded for it.

When the real ruth is he is a tactically inept specialist in failure who needs to run a constant campaign of self promotion to keep himself relevant

I don't understand the rookie mistakes our managers keep making. We were solid if not spectacular with a Williams and Holgate partnership with Rooney playing centre mid and looking the player of previous years.

Then allardyce goes and breaks that all up and starts playing jagielka who is on for some kind of goals against record, plays Rooney in the same position where he flopped under koeman in the same formation.

We set up against Chelsea and the RS as hard to beat and got two draws.

He then goes and sets up ultra negative against two of the worst sides in the league in West brom and Bournemouth (and Newcastle tbf) which backfired and then sets up really attaching against united and spurs with jagielka in defence instead of mirroring the Chelsea and RS setups. Wtf? How can an experienced manager make such mistakes?

Me mates just told me what he' said on bbc

We need to me more boring and be on last in motd or along those lines HAHAHAHAHAGAHAGA

manager of Everton football club.

What are we

When you look at how bad West Ham were under Billic and how Moyes has them playing now you can see the difference a manager can make.

Could you genuinely see us going to Huddersfield and winning 4-1?
Could genuinely see them finishing above us. I'd probably have taken Moyes over Sam but only with hindsight tbf. Both play dire footie but more chance of having shots on target with Moyes at least.

In my opinion, Silva isn't the answer nor is Big Sam. We need to aim higher (a lot higher) and pay big bucks for a top manager.
I don't necessarily disagree, but I do think Silva has potential to be a very good manager. He least tries to play attacking football and score goals.
Would you settle for a 19 stone monster bird in a liverpool shirt at 3 am on a Saturday night just because she grabbed your ass??
If I was absolutely desperate to nail that night and I'd had nothing for months? No, probably not even then. I don't think that analogy is quite that relevant though.

Tbh as it stands IF going back to his dire defensive style gets points on the board then I can live with it til the end of the season. West Brom is now a vital game that we have to win ffs. I think getting between 7th and 9th is very important for next season and the summer window etc and if Sams style gets us that then fine but then we need to get the best manager we can get in before July.

I'm still upset at all our fans who thought this was what we needed. I will forgive if you admit your error and stop listening to the media and his shameless self promotion

You'll have to wait a bit longer I fear mate, as although a lot of the fan boys have slunk back into the shadows, there's still a fair few who think he's the answer.

Moyes should never have been considered for coming back here but he's a far superior manager to Allardyce. I actually remember his last game at Goodison being us ripping Fat Sam's West Ham to shreds.
