LOL. Think though unless something really bad happened to our club between now and summer fully expect Sam to be here next season. I also believe Sam is thinking of the real football opportunity Everton have given him and his cohorts.

I agree with that, we would have to go on a pretty bad run of results for him not to be manager next season. Like you say lets hope he sees this as a chance to stick two fingers up at everyone with the opportunity he has been afforded here. So far it's been meh, but you can't expect to turn around a club in 2 months to be instantly world beaters. Up to him now to prove what he has said in the past or not.

No mate, he`s thinking of one final payday, before he sails off into the sunset in his gravy boat.

It`s about himself and nothing else.

The majority consensus was not many blues wanted him - as bad as Unsworth was he did okish points wise in the Prem - two games of good play this season came under Unsworth vWest Ham - Shakespeare in a dead rubber game in the EUROPA
game!
Big Sam has had luck and it's now run out - the age of our team he puts out is too old with no pace and no shots on goal, and hoof ball!

It amazes me that anyone expected anything other than what we`re seeing right now.

I see Joey66 and COBYL25 are very sceptical on the subject of our current manager and rightly so when looks at his football history. In which case what did the FA see in him to manage the national team. Okay he messed this up by being caught in a sting, silly buggar.

I have said in previous posts who else was holding their hand up to take the manager's job? Watford told us to pee off so Silva was out but do not recall anyone else being on the radar and fancying managing Everton. Come summer if he is pushed, what state will the club be left in and again who would take us on? The problems would still be there of needing to get shut of several yes several players.

Let me be clear I am not jumping up and down about his appointment but look at the bigger picture who wanted to come apart from Giggs and Neville. LOL.

I`m sure being amongst the top ten highest paid managers in the world, will help with the quality of any future potential applicants mate.

Wages in some cases maybe the be all and end all but not I think with the likes of Pep, Jose, Pochettino.
Look what he has done transfer wise two top England international - out for peanuts - we resemble Dads army - Lookman not a look in or Tom Davies for who ? Bollassie crocked, and Rooney or Snides who are pension age!

"I've got to try and revert back to a more defensive structure with the team again and try to get those clean sheets that gave us so many wins when I first came here."

A defensive structure...and a lot of luck.

The defensive structure has changed...and so has the luck.
