"I've got to try and revert back to a more defensive structure with the team again and try to get those clean sheets that gave us so many wins when I first came here."

A defensive structure...and a lot of luck.

The defensive structure has changed...and so has the luck.
The football is dire - he has no faith in youth - the team has no pace, no midfield, no creativity hence no shots on target and he wants to go more defensive- get rid put Shakespear with Unsy in charge!
No wonder Big Joe walked after 7 days he seen this coming!

Might have to change my avatar.

BFS was brought in to keep us up. He needs to be replaced in the summer.

Moshiri buys huge stake in Everton.

"We're signing Mata and Koulibaly! Mourinho our next manager!'

Everton sign Theo Walcott and Sam Allardyce.

Same old Ev. Another decade or two winning nowt.
Fed up and depressed, what's the actual point?

LAD

Why the change of tune all of a sudden???

Fat Sam is a better manager than our very own Fat Head.

Big Sam please. Steady the ship, get players up for it again. Very underrated manager.

Big Sam to steady us for a few years. Won't be pretty but neither is our current league position.

Big Sam will keep our cloggers in the league.

Look, I know most of you hate me (couldn't care less either) but I've been right about everything since the summer.

I said our signings were rubbish. I said that that Koeman overachieved at Saints. I said that Rooney would be a bad idea. I said that Sigurdsson would be a bad idea.

You all called me a Manc/Kopite/whatever but the truth hurts.

Big Sam will keep these horrible set of players in the Premier League. That's our aim now. Not winning trophies or qualifying for the CL but a manager with a plan who knows the league and how to stay in it.

Come on Sam, you're our only hope.

This is great news to get home to!

I've called for Sam even when Fat Ron was here.

He will sort us out. A very good manager and we might actually win a Derby now!

I am so happy right now.

Who's your choice mate?

And don't say Diego Simeone or Tuchel. They wouldn't touch the Everton job with a barge pole.

Big Sam is about par for us right now.

You'll all be changing your tune about him when we're 8th-10th by February.

I knew Big Sam would be the right man, was calling for him all season.

Merry Xmas everyone, we're going to be ok.

I don’t understand why Cuco is getting so much stick, certainly compared with Kenny he’s been doing a better job defensively these past few weeks. I blame Siggy and Jags for the first goal, Kenny for the second. Kenny was also to blame for Bournemouth and was dropped for Man U. Not having a go at him he’s obv v young, but it seems weird that everyone is saying we HAVE to buy a left back right now (rather than in the Summer when we will get a better deal)

In nearly 70 years watching Everton, I have watched ,from the 'old paddock' area, while all but a few Everton left backs have been ripped the shreds by the crowd in that area at least. The exceptions were RAy Wilson, Alex Parker, Baines in his pomp, and Lescott briefly. All the others including superb players like George Thomson and Hinchcliffe had an uneasy relationship with the crowd, and most of the rest were downright hated. The stick that Pistone got was unbelievable. In general, Evertonians are very suspicious of left backs.

now thats a paddling
And dedication.

Why we don't offer a top manager like 15 mil a year salary I'll never know.

Pay that for someone like Simeone/Ancelotti and you will attract the top players who want to play for that calibre of manager. £6 million on this bloke is an utter waste.

It'd also work out cheaper in the long run, rather than having to pay up contracts of second rate failures .

They wouldn’t come for £20m
