Sorry, quite right....Dunlop....Parker....Thomson...those were the days! I talked at length with Tommy Docherty a couple of years ago, about his memories of Everton players, and he specifically mentioned Meagan as a player he thought had a lot of talent and versatility 'wing half(!)' or full back. Parker was superb...had the ability to 'shepherd' the winger into a position were he would literally give up the ball....no tackle required! Supreme passer of the ball as well.
Was quite good at the sliding tackle, tho.

Decent read that Times article. Hard to disagree with his assessment so far, and his mea culpa for the recent games is weirdly encouraging.

Not necessarily, it could just mean Moshiri has had enough of Allardyce's crap footy.
I've a feeling Moshiri has watched enough football to have realised what the Allardyce brand of hoofball looks like before he approached him.Keeping us in the Prem at least until a new stadium is built would be the smart business move.

Moshiri knew the type of footy Allardyce served up , that's why he was way down on Moshir's list, and he ended up being a last resort, also, it was rumoured we wanted Allardyce on a very short term contract but Allardyce was having none of it.

Are you saying we should keep Allardyce as manager until the new stadium is built?

No I didn't come anywhere near to suggesting that. But maybe its a question you should ask Moshiri's inner accountant.BTW other than Silva who else was shortlisted?
