This might be some sort of post-win/pre-derby euphoria talking, or perhaps me trying to cope with the man at the very bottom of my manager list now being in charge of the club. But here me out. From what I've seen so far, Allardyce genuinely looks made up to be here, now the cynics will say that's because he's secured himself a last big payday, but I have to disagree. England aside, he's never had a big job, now whether that's for a reason or because no one would give him the chance is neither here nor there. The fact is he's now in the final few years of his career as a manager, and had now got the job at the biggest job he could ever have realistically hoped to get. And as such he's brought in Lee and Shakespeare, two very, very highly regarded coaches in with him and looks intent on really making it work here at Everton.
I'm by no means a fan, but I think in Allardyce we've genuinely got someone who really cares and will give his all to be a success at Everton.
