This might be some sort of post-win/pre-derby euphoria talking, or perhaps me trying to cope with the man at the very bottom of my manager list now being in charge of the club. But here me out. From what I've seen so far, Allardyce genuinely looks made up to be here, now the cynics will say that's because he's secured himself a last big payday, but I have to disagree. England aside, he's never had a big job, now whether that's for a reason or because no one would give him the chance is neither here nor there. The fact is he's now in the final few years of his career as a manager, and had now got the job at the biggest job he could ever have realistically hoped to get. And as such he's brought in Lee and Shakespeare, two very, very highly regarded coaches in with him and looks intent on really making it work here at Everton.

I'm by no means a fan, but I think in Allardyce we've genuinely got someone who really cares and will give his all to be a success at Everton.

Thats the impression I get too mate.

1 win as Everton manager. Not 2.

Glad we've won, we looked better under Allardyce than we have and he's guided the team importantly to a back to back win, but let's not start giving him credit for masterminding the position we find ourselves in. He should be aiming for Europe on £6m a year and it will take more than beating Huddersfield
bore off

I can't wait till Liverpool are 4-0 and people will call Sam fit to burn vault me

This is an interesting post, and I think what I'm about to post should be burnt into everyone's mind:

Look, I'm by no means a fan of Allardyce, far from it and didn't want him near the club quite frankly. BUT, he is our manager and should get a fair degree of backing and shouldn't be expected to perform miracles. If we lose the derby, which let's be honest, we probably will; people shouldn't get on his back. The fact is this a good Liverpool team who have been on fire recently and Everton haven't won a derby in like 7 years and haven't won at Anfield in like 18 years, so it would be unbelievably harsh to write Allardyce off if he loses, especially given he'll have only been in the job like 10 days.

Its inevitable
just so you can say "I was right in choosing to stay away" The point is you will never be able to crawl back without losing face on here. I am not saying we will win next week but from what I have seen so far we are going to be organised, fighting for everything and we wont be coming out of there having rolled over. your dilemma is very simple, If we do get a result and continue to improve at what point do you announce "I'm back".

Results won't swing my decision atall it's when I can stomach going again

To be fair watching his interview on BBC Sport he has a grin like a cheshire cat! Looks made up to be here.

Let's hope his attitude doesn't change after Jan when Elstone & co. mess up again.

Couldn`t agree more mate.

No criticism from me either, although I fully expect that many of the ones who are currently taking part in the " Allardyce Love In ", won`t be as understanding.
