He mentions - " winning matches " three times there.

The way that reads, is that he`s been told that he`s had his chance and blown it.

Let`s see how he sets the team up on Saturday.

He mentioned his talks earlier. If he'd had gotten the nod of confidence for next season, he'd have been shouting it from the roof tops.

He hasn't and he didn't. Make of that, what you will.

The knives are out Matt.

Bascombe, with a hint of Kenwright - for your consideration @orly

"You will not hear many around Goodison argue he will or even should stay long-term – that would not be politically savvy given the weight of opinion – but plenty feel the more pertinent question is what did majority shareholder Moshiri expect when he made the appointment?

There were enough warnings how the campaign would evolve if there was not a marked improvement, any hint of tolerance dissipating with every colourless defeat."

Dominic King, with the info

"Paulo Fonseca, the Shakhtar Donetsk manager, will be available at the end of the season when his contract expires; he is keen to work in the Premier League and would be a leading candidate to take over should Allardyce be replaced.

"This has been a dreadful season and it is inconceivable that there will not be changes in the summer; Steve Walsh, the Director of Football, is under scrutiny after overseeing the club's failed transfer policy with Marcel Brands, PSV Eindhoven's talent-spotter, being firmly admired."

Andy Hunter, offers nothing.

I don't like it mein frandelino

I LOVE IT (@Stamp1878 RIP)

the briefings are getting, er, longer. It is nearly time.

No win on the weekend and he is sacked.

For once he sounds conciliatory, almost resigned.

Whatever went on in that " confidential meeting" has knocked the stuffing out of the fat blert.

RIP STAMP.

But yes, the knives are out and have been planted firmly in his back.

Pls boo for me on Saturday as I have to be professional and witness his beheading from up close.

Interesting that Dominic King once again mentions Paolo Fonseca, who seems to be the elephant in the room, I am pleased to say. I do hope King has had the whisper from the club...

Or he reads what`s on here and other forums and knows he`s only got to mention his name to get traffic ?

Results will determine the Allardyce future...

He is certainly up against it, so let's see what he can do.....

Could have all been so different if he’d shown a shred of humility and tried to tap into Everton. We might have been saying it was a tough job to pick up, thanks for keeping us up etc. but instead he showed nothing but arrogance and contempt. Such a huge opportunity missed for him. Just like the England job his ego has ruined the biggest moments of his career.
