My apprehension with him isn't age, it's that the list of his recent injuries is longer than Charles Bronsons rap sheet. So if he picked up the ability to miraculously heal himself like wolverine in the past six months I'd be on board otherwise hard pass but at the same time I guess even he had to play with a walker he'd still be better than davies

This just seems a 6/12 month option for me. It is hardly Fabian delph and khedira was ten times the player delph ever was. If he’s half the player he was, and he’s fit 50% of the time, he walks into our midfield. Honestly after watching Tom Davies play that role, this fella will look like he’s back to his best as a comparison. The difference in quality is vast. I honestly believe james is a shadow of the player he was at his peak. Yet he still appears to have time on the ball. Khedira will be the same, our problem for me is our inability to keep the ball. I’ve never seen a team give the ball away so much. We just need players who can keep hold of it under pressure as 80% of teams in the premier league press you like never before. If we can get 6/7 games out of him this season then it’s worth it.

I think I agree with you actually on this one. I love james. However, he’s played four good games out of 16. He’s either playing unfit or he’s injured this far. I hope that ratio increases

There's nothing guaranteed in football rumours but with with Sami and Carlos history intertwined that has increased speculation. There's been a host of noise from Germany lately and some other tabloids indicating interest. Nothing concrete but the chatter has been getting louder as the days go by.
