I believe Real Madrid are too. But a lot of people say Man United. Hence the use of "arguably".

Either way they're a lot bigger than us. I don't see how them spending £60m on Di Maria and giving Falcao £300,000 a week has any relevance to our situation just because they finished 7th last year.
because i doubt any of the players i listed as 'targets' would demand 300k a week nevermind any more than 50-60k which was probably what eto'o was on anyway

no

in effect if we have a summer transfer budget of 20-30 million to spend

if we sell all those players i listed i think we could bring in revenue of up to 10-15 mil in total meaning a max spend of 45 million on players

the wages we free up will also give us some extra income to spend

begovic would be about 10 mil
depay would be about 15 mil

Kongolo would be around 3-5 mil
strootman on loan
kishna - out of contract - only a compensation fee to pay 1-2 mil at most
el sharaawy - 12 mil

so deffo doable. especially as we will pay only a nominal fee up front with the rest of the payments made over 48 months.

Quite remarkable.

Signed for Roma for around £15m. After a year of improvement they'd be willing to let him go on loan when many of Europe's biggest, richest teams apparently want him? Right.

his development at roma has stagnated they may want to loan him out to let him develop again

if west ham can loan tevez and man utd can bag falcao on loan despite monaco spending 40 million euro's on him then i don't think u can rule anything out in football

Completely different situations.

Fairly sure we can rule out Everton getting a player on loan when United and possibly Barca/Real/PSG etc. want to spend big money on him.

i dont think u can say its completely different to falcao when im sure plenty of big teams would have paid alot of money to sign him but monaco still loaned him out
