So Eto'o has gone, Sampdoria post pictures with him in their shirt, but Everton say nothing about it.

It looks like their jibe that no one is in control has some foundation. WTF is going on at Everton? I mean, it's only one of the biggest names in world football leaving the club, I know. But...

The handling of this has been atrocious. The Eto'o period in the clubs history will be remembered alongside some of the darkest periods in our history, and there has been far too many in the Prem era. Martinez has been dreadful this season, the team look lost and morale is shot. We have been here numerous times though. The only real consistant is Kenwright. We need fresh faces asap.

They've put a link to a newspaper article about him leaving on the gossip page but still haven't bothered to announce it

you say that, but the transfer hasn't gone through yet and only Sampdoria are saying it has. He's been pictured in a Sampdoria Polo Shirt (which is bad form I admit) but I don't want us to make announcements that aren't 100% accurate. I'm sure there will be an announcement when he actually officially leaves he club.

Anyone who is using this situation in another desperate attempt to malign the club they are supposed to 'support' needs to have a word with themselves. You never learn. We will be fully in control of the situation and will make an official announcement if ever it becomes neccessary. We have a chairman who is possibly the toughest in the Prem to deal with, and a very clever businessman as manager. Until Everton say Eto'o has gone, he hasn't gone anywhere. Its only Sampdoria(ha ha!) who are saying he has joined them, and he may well do eventually, but nothing is certain, particularly in Italy and the Italian press. Tell me...what have SSN been saying?

There's absolutely no way back now. I can understand if the player hasn't actually formally been transferred yet, but you'd expect Everton to be making an update.

Not sure if serious...

wasn't the last update, Eto'o and Sampdoria have agreed terms, but we're trying to come to some arrangement?
Why make another statement if nothing has changed? we'll run the clock down a bit in the full knowledge that we still have his registration. Sampdoria can announce whatever they like but until we agree to release his registration, he's not there's.
