I'm concerned that Everton wanted/want this to go to the eleventh hour so that the wages saved can't be reinvested. The quicker this is put to bed the better on that score.
He's going, no doubt about it, I don't think the club will be hanging around until it's official before signing a replacement (if they do) and were only talking a weeks wages now, less tan the compensation we'd be arguing over.

Sampdoria have been disgraceful from day one, trying to get us to 'put it to bed as quickly as possible', I would hope that we wouldn't do anything rash and not get the best deal possible which appears to be happening.

I think it boils down to two simple points.
1. Eto'o wants to be nearer his family in Italy.
2. A once great player is in decline and not good enough to start regularly in the premiership.
Mourinho realised that last season and I think RM has realised the same.
I think that Eto'o even at his very best may be more suited to Spanish or Italian football.

Did you believe the Ferguson biography, like you believed Sir John Moores neice? Don't forget Bills an actor.....as well as being a tough negotiator. You have never under estimated BK, have you Dave? Formidable. I know many who have had personal experience. Nobody crosses BK and gets away with it, but if youre loyal to him, he's loyal to you. Rodwell. Fellaini. Many more.
"Nobody crosses BK"......Ha Ha. Laughable. He's a two bit theatre producer who might be able to frighten the stage hands but his clout in the game if football is zero.

Lately if you believe the media some our players have had there heads turned and want out Mirallas,Coleman,Barkley also McCarthy.I wonder could the Eto being around have could have been the cause and not just our bad form,he's been there done that and got the T shirt,I think he just saw us as a stop gap because there wasn't much interest I'm him in the summer,I'm hopeing I'm right and now everything will settle down a bit and we just get on with it.We just need to have good players not older superstars, eto where ever he goes now he will think he's bigger than the manager.

in what way? An expensive player wants out at the first opportunity because he's too old to pin down a first team place, and we're not going to pick him in his preferred position because we spent £28M on Rom in the Summer. Fair enough, we've agreed in principle that he can go, just needs to agree compensation.
The only ones coming out of this badly are Eto'o's Agent and Sampdoria who are pulling every every dirty media trick to push it through. Sammy's a bit of an arse for wearing their polo shirt as he should know better.

It just looks bad all round. Weird transfer saga, a top player wanting out, no word from the club, buying a player of that age in the first instance... just sour all round.

Going to watch sampdoria for a bit today, just to see if he is paraded on the pitch before ko etc,Think everton dont think we will notice he's gone lol

find me some where other than a Sampdoria source that says he's signed....

He is going, but we still hold his registration because we've not agreed the level of compensation.
