That might be pretty good forum slapstick Dave, but you know very well its far from the truth. Definitely not 'two bit', belive me(I know quite a few of them, and Bill K is at the very top of his game, definitely not 'two bit') I think you'll find also, and this is common knowledge, that BK has an excellent reputation in the football business. Eto'o will go on our terms, because we hold his contract. I think the saving in wages is appealing, particularly if Sam is not getting a lot of game time, and he was well aware that Lukaku was our main striker when he signed.

The official Everton website and the official Everton twitter account still haven't reported it.

24 hours after everyone else reported that he'd signed and a photo of Eto'o wearing a Sampdoria shirt was released.

What exactly is the Everton Media & Communications department doing? They're putting stories up on the website and tweeting about other stuff, so it's not like they're not there. For some reason Everton are completely ignoring that one of our players has left the club.

Whole thing stinks.

Well I expect the wages to be freed up for the manager for a couple of new contracts coming in. If that doesn't happen and the money is banked that tells me that it'd be false economy (and dangerous false economy at that) and Kenwright has no football business acumen.

I know it's a balancing act with this club keeping wage costs down, but the potential loss of revenue is so catastrophic Kenwright should be encouraging Martinez to throw out any ballast in order to make room for more players coming in right now. Or even take the UEFA punishment of exceeding the wage cap for the season.

Responsible 'news sites' are saying the deal is nearly done.
