Sandhills station

We went to Broadgreen station to get on the 12 o’clock train to Lime St. train turns up totally chocker, so we had to get a taxi. It appears Northern Rail didn’t get the memo there was a match on.

Got the 919 shuttle bus back to Lime Street (£2) which was good, although they could have organised the queue better. I didn’t understand why they loaded one bus at a time when 3 buses were there.
Northern rail is woeful - and sadly I doubt there'll be anything done in addition for the new stadium. I live by the station but think I'll probably end up getting the bus instead.

This loading of one bus at a time drives me mad ,they do it at Lime St. and also Walton Lane after the match . The jobsworths won't let you on the next bus until every square inch is full , The drivers sit in the bus until told to open up . Even better when its sheeting down .They love it.

Whack an overflow platform on each side for matchdays with stairs going down to the ground level and doors opening on both sides.

I dont get why this stuff is so hard really.

Cos it costs money and the Council has none.

As I said to Dave, walk around the City, ignore the private investment and you can see what a cesspit the region of Merseyside has become, a lack of central investment has decimated this region.

Thats most of the country to be fair.

It would probably cost them less than dealing witht he fallout when someone dies at the station on matchday due to the amount of people and lack of space.

Fine, for a cost effective measure just get some bouncy castles and people can jump off the train down the embankment. There is even a place that hires them out on Lightbody Street...

To be fair Steve is still unsure if the ground is going to be open.

He'll only give infrastructure work the thumbs up as soon as first whistle of next seasons goes.
